It's a small world. I'm in the panhandle, but my parents lived in Tampa in the 50's. Sister was born there. Last time I went was 1979. Probably not much the same.
I'd vote Tampa as one of Americas worse cities, I'm glad I left that place or I'd be living in a trailer park with dirty feet lol
I hated that place lol

I have a bunch of cousins who agree with you. There are several who have moved up here to the sticks either full or part time. Some of them I would just as soon stay down there.

Looking gorgeous and healthy this morning this grow is moving along actually better than expected for my first full organic grow.
What I've learned so far is you dont need expensive bottles of manufactured nutrients to grow well, just grow with passion and feed the soil not the plant, help it along with organic boosters like worm castings and seaweed (kelp) guano, Epsom salts, most importantly building a good soil is one of the key things I learned this season I am growing in about 30 percent aged manure, 40 percent mushroom compost 30 percent garden soil and it's really paying off now
I barely ever feed these gals maybe once every 3 weeks minus foliars. Scratched my soil not even a cm deep and 20 or so worms emerged it was pretty cool to see!
The best thing about this is I know when I smoke my buds it's just buds and maybe a few bugs lol.

Mk ultra has really hit her strides, she had a rough slow start but starting to outshine everything but the chemdog#4 which is a truly special hearty plant, depending on the final product she will become a staple if shes good smoko. Mk is already a staple in my garden.

There are 3 plants I will grow every season because of stability, hardiness, and great flavour quality and aroma.
Blue OG, MK ultra, Kosher kush that gives me between 2 and 5 strains per season to trial run depending on my needs for the year which keeps it interesting looking for that next keeper chemdog#4 may be one I'm hoping.

It would be interesting to run some of my first my first seasons grow all over again next year to see how much different it would be, the best and worse thing that happened was I had a miracle first run and season 2 was spectacular, season I also really got the cure right that year 3 my arrogant know it all ass getting fucked over by the grow gods by plagues of mites, powdery mildew, botrytis and having a grand total of 6 oz off 7 plants season 4 almost every reg seed I had turned Male besides 4 out of 12 seeds so I had to learn to grow in bigger pots for bigger yields and I got it season 5 I finally learned to fight off botrytis effectively and developed some of my own methods that are non chemical and also using airflow to stop it spreading and learned to control spider mites really well and manage the issue without nuking it. Season 6 went really well got good yields but had some real issues with ph and lockouts which affected a good 30 to 40 percent of my yield season 7 is here and far out I'm learning more this season than all the others combined it's been a great season a few mistakes here and there but the way I deal with it is the difference really I'm just calmer more intuitive more patient it's been really kinds cruisy and enjoyable honestly, relaxes me more than stresses me which is really nice. But yeah I think I'd like to do that first run again.

So here it is stretch finishing soon (I hope) lol but these girls are hungry as 2 of them Burmese and mk ultra have had 3 days of feeds they just keep begging for more lol the other 3 gals not as hungry but still getting half feeds, they just seem to want to be pushed real real hard right now gave them guano grow and liquid compost yesterday fish emulsion and liquid compost today and they just dont seem satisfied lol so I'll keep pushing till those tips start to show me some burn.talk about a great grow these gals are loving life and just taking whatever I throw at them but they are all looking amazing at the moment even the 2 I didnt rate earlier. I'm going to up my expectations here to 12 to 14 oz average per plant with my chemdawg4 producing that elusive pound for me. Happy days!
1 holygrail
2 Burmese

Wow just got a call from my guy at the hydro shop one wanting my gear which I dont have lol till April and 2 to invite me to the medical convention in Melbourne as his outdoor consultant, also invited out to dinner with him and his business partner to meet the CEO of a major LED lighting company they do high quality LED arrays and are the absolute best LED company out there, servicing home and commercial growers they are looking to be the authorized dealer in Australia and he wants my gift of the gab and my executive sales background to help him secure it. That is such an honor I cant believe out of all the growers in my territory he would invite me I am speechless. He always told me my end product was at the top of his list and I'm the quiet achiever but I honestly thought he was blowing smoke up my ass because I brought in lots of (free) samples but he must actually rate my gear highly. I dont even know what to say honestly.
