Inground grow room???

im going to start on this when i get some money saved up.....ive drawn up some basic sketches of the layout of the room but its not working in the post.:-P

o yea i almost forgot,the walls are going to be setup like a bombshelter and there going to be atleast 2.5ft thick so absolutly no heat signature can be seen by thermal imaging

Yes, indeed. Or! I could plumb a T off the line from the well, just use some expanding foam to seal up the hole (or even something similar to a bulkhead, but I don't think they make those for houses). Filtration is the next biggest problem for me, because I already know that every winter we get a stream under the house, and it goes along the foundation (don't ask, it's a 4yo home and the county approved this shit) to where it exits at the most southeasterly corner. So, I know the water will drain. :lol: What I hope for, though, is that it will simply dissipate into the soil, rather than just running off towards the leach field.

But, for me, we're not going "underground", as in very much below grade. We're going under the house, and the house, were they not sided, would appear to be up on stilts. We're in the mountains and our property is all slope. The area we're going to be using has the house itself as the "covering", and bare earth as the "floor". It's too dark in there or I'd put up some pix, but either way, we're just going to make a bit of a raised bed for planting. Works outdoors under the sun, why not indoors under good lighting?

especially if you dont know how much you want to spend:eyesmoke:

sounds like its gonna be in the range of 20-30gs much cheaper if you do it all your self though... funny thing is legally your prolly supposed to get a building permit.....

i can be done for under $2000 bucks if you do it yourself, rent a backhoe, take all day digging out a 10x10 or 12x12 hole 8 feet (at least) deep, then square off the edges to make it a nice square shape, then support it with verticle 6x6 treated lumber on the corners, use horizontal 2x8's on each side to connect the outer 6x6's, then support the middle of the room with 2 6x6's. then top it off with 2x10 ceiling joists. put treated plywood on the inner walls. run a 6" exhaust conduit near the ceiling and a supply conduit run from the bottom of the room. then caulk the crap out of all the little gaps to keep bugs or outside dirt out, backfill soil around it and over the top and plant then plant some grass.

it can be done for $2000 if you have the time and ambition

how do you get electricity going? are you going to just have it all be connected to your home's electricity box?

you call ME, lol. I got a few buddies that you can contract out if you want to. We can outfit an entire grow area for you underground, id even do the plumbing for you and electricity. Id give you your own circuit box. Not stealing electricity or nothing like that, wed just call the electric company and tell them your building a new addition to your house, and they would let us put in another independent circuit box in your growroom. that way you dont have to rely on outlets from the house, you can have your own independent electrical supply running to your growroom. Well work for cheap ;)
