I was gonna ask about doubling up. The more I thought about it I got to the point I just assumed it was ok. The way I see it as long as the roots don't grow out into the second cup it's no different than sitting it in a flood table or the like. I like to use a second cup to make sure the soil gets saturated well and there are not dry spots. After a few minutes I'll pull it off and let it drain on out.

That is fine, As long as the main "Clear" Cup is labeled and legible and also that the "roots stay in the cup" meaning the main cup.

I do really like this method for my regular growing, it takes the guess work out of everything, if your not sure when to transplant, or just wanna see the health or color or the roots. all ya gotta do is look! I've also solved past problems by doing this,once upon a time, very long time ago I had root rot on a clone, and one quick peak under the red cup, and you can see exactly what's going on!

The extra gear was from my lineage collection and ill be happy to answer any questions about it via DM

I switched to MC a bit back after doing a comparison between MC, Advanced, GH Flora, Remo, and Nectar of the Gods. MC and Remo did the best, but MC is much easier to use. I am in the middle of a side-by-side grow comparing their old formula to the new one. GH wasn't far behind. NotG and Advanced would probably have done better had I been running soil, but I use DWC/RDWC.
