First grow. I've been wrestling with myself for a bit to keep from chopping too early. Took a few pics this morning, and I think three of the girls are ready, or at least ready enough. When reviewing my pics, I see this:

Is this a banana forming, or just a weird calyx with no trichomes?

Then I found this weird "empty" calyx:

Not a problem, just interesting.

Here's a few more from this morning. I'm thinking there are enough cloudy and amber that it is time to chop. Anyone care to weigh in with an opinion?

you could probably take that plant now, or wait a week for more Amber, congrats on your first grow!

If I had to guess, I'd say new growth rather than a male flower.

Your trichomes look to be about 50/50 with almost no amber, that will give a "energetic" high.
If you want a euphoric high, wait a week or two.

Then you'll want to wait till almost all the hairs have turned red (70 - 90% interweb says) the more amber trichs you have the greater the couch-lock.
