ima make this as short as possible!


my ac went out! so I bought a new one! didn't think to check for light leak, dummy move! I know!

this was 48 hours ago! almost exactly! lights have been running from 7pm to 7am, through the night! well my new ac, basically is like having the window open! almost!

this dam thing let's in so much light, I could walk right in at about 5pm whe it's supposed to be dark! and Clearly see everything! plants were in tents but tents were open!

what the fuck do I do now?

I unplugged everything, going let them be off all night and swap the schedule by running during the day! only way to fix my light leak through the ac!

any advise? what do you guys think!

gotta run be back in an hour or 2 thanks for any help! I appreciate it! and for the record the lights should be on now, but I've shut them down before they can come on!

unfortunately there is no fixing the leak, bc the leak comes right through the ac, so until my new ac comes in idk what to do!

I planned to let the lights turn on at let's 8am, and run through the day, that would fix future light leak, bc there no light coming through at night!

just fucking sucks, let's just assume the worst! so how long till some nanners pop in? and then how long until it's full if seeds, I've only have 22ish days until it's time to chop! maybe it's possible to take a few days early! and maybe not enough time for seeds to grow????

I don't know times for stuff like that, but I'd assume a few weeks right?

actually @Heisenbeans would be the perfect person to answer these questions!

Oh man all u can do is get that fixed as soon as possible or evac the girls if I was next door I would foster home but ...

I light leak my plant loads, dont worry generally.

Not sure when.light leaks equal hermies but i never did get a lot of this modern grow teks :-)

I'm really not even stressing anymore the guy who gave me the cuts, said he stress tested them really hard, and never seen a single hermi! from what I told, it was a lot worst than what happened to me, so I'm just gunna keep an eye on things, lights running through the day. so no chance of light leak any more, just gunna coast till harvest day!

If they have significant light leak I'd be more worried about reveg than a few nanners. Unintentional reveg sucks. A few seed is no biggie. Reveg however is. Been there done that. Never want to do it again.

He's so late now even if he produces non-sterile herms he won't mature seeds from that pollination. If he has seeds he had an earlier problem.

as for reveg I'm not too concerned about that, as I've said it was 2 days of a lot of light leak, but day 1, I'm fairly sure, the tents were closed up, the second day I caught it, and immediately sealed everything, and gave them a full 14ish hours of darkness through the night, then continued 12/12, but ran lights through the day, it appears to have solved my light leak issue, I'll post a pic below and it will make more sense as to why there wasn't many options! I had to have this ac, it's all I could afford while I wait for my big nice one, to be replaced!

pic was taken around 5pm, about 2 hours before the sun sets, I've adjusted my 12/12 to run while the suns up for this reason! and Cleary it isn't dark in that room! CM190209-170111004.jpg

my normal ac is a monster! no light leaks through it, that piece of shit is like 10k btu, the one that broke is like 14k i think, it only broke bc I'm a dumbass, thought the fan was stuck while running it in the dead of winter, sadly I needed it, but the outside am had frozen solid, and the fan blades were beating ice! well lesson learned ya know, thankfully still under warranty!

I had one of those and I built an "L" shaped box and painted it flat black inside and diverted the light into the box. As long as you have good air flow, you should be good.
