Ph fluctuations or nute lockout ?

I am 5 weeks deep in flowering and admittedly I ran out of my usual R.O water and used tap water. (Which where I'm from is 5ish). I also let the soil dry a bit more than usual the last week and switched nutes. But only feed twice but with my R.O water ph'd @ 6.5 - I'm also thinking possible root rot ?

Everything I've read suggests Nute lockout & Ph fluctuations. I also read how to remedy a solution.

Can you agree this is my problem via pictures & info ?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated :mrgreen:

You're plants are definitely short on a few things. I doubt root rot is your culprit though; your plants look too good for that. It is apparent you have overall leaf tip burn which might suggest you're pushing them a smidge too hard. It also appears you're a little short on Ca and Iron based on your pics. Is this a result of pH fluctuation; it's hard to say. If you're in soil I would guess your pH is relatively static, but if you think you're way off you could always test the pH of your soil to confirm. Otherwise, I'd look at what you're feeding and be sure you have plenty of iron and Ca going to your girls (RO is notorious for being too clean, and void of elements. If you're not supplying those missing elements, your plants are missing out); it's quite possible your feed is short on those elements or sometimes we throw too much of something at the plants to achieve one result and in the process it locks out other things. Either way your girls still look like they're going to give you a nice harvest. Good luck.

Dark green shows too much nitrogen and little yellow spots is most likely magnesium def. That's how I see it now without more info.

What are you feeding them? how often?
What kind of light?
The soil is possibly too hot for your environment, they are getting nutrient burn. Dark green and burnt tips. spotting like that. Looking like burn spots right? Maybe now into lockout?
Ph fluctuations cause lockout.

check the run off water.

I feed them BC bloom 3-6-6 w/ Cal-Mag w/ R.O. @ 6.2 ph - lights are HLG65 (X3) for three plants. Temp is 27C RH @ 45% using a coir mix w/ perlite, earthworm castings, and a small amount of promix soil. In 8Gal pots. I water daily and feed every other day or every third day. I'm not giving a heavy feeding by any means. When I just water I always add Cal-Mag since R.O water is so clean. 5 days ago I did a flush and let it dry out a bit more than usual than did a water and next day a feed. Still not seeing the problem getting better.

How high are those lights?

Looks like a clear Mag. def. and probably Cal. def. too.
Burnt leaves could be from ph- which could have burnt your roots a bit and also kills your soil life.
But they also could be from Nutrient burn.

So what should I keep watering using calmag and lay off the nutes ? Or is there a better additive to use ?

If coco makes up the majority of your mix:

The 6.5 pH may be too high for the optimal uptake of nutrients, hence some of your issues.

A coco based medium does not do well if left to dry out; which will cause burn to the plant.

A coco based medium is going to need additional Mg and Ca, as coco loves both of these elements just as much as your plant.

Coco lends nearly nothing in terms of nutrients to the over all plant...you have to add nutrients to it and if you're watering with plain water at any point you're goofing up your plants.

Of course if your medium is more comprised of other materials making your coco just a small part of your medium, just deep 6 my comments. Good luck friend.

Thank you good advice and definitely helpful. I will remember this when thinking of using plain water lol and feeding.

Feed every watering to run off,every day. you should have been doing this since the flip.If you havent been watering to runoff you got build up.mix up 1/2 strength and flush.I think you can treat them now as if its 100% coco . Never straight water.

I would mix enough water/food for say 5 days.Start with 5.8 and full strenght food.
Day 1 water to run off,then replace water in jug with plain water.
Day 2 same thing until your at day 5.Then repeat.
Ea day your food is a little lower and the ph rises slowly.

You have to figure out how much water to pre mix so that on day 5 your ph is 6.2.
This just makes it easier if your in a rush having pre mixed water,you can mix every day if u like.
