Light question

I have a 4 by 4 tent running a 600 watt hps, I have a smaller tent I use for drying but was considering growing in it as well. I have a second 600 watt hps I could use in this tent, but its only a 27inch by 27 inch by 6ft tall mars tent. Woukd 600 be over kill? It is a cool tube hps

at 6ft it wouldn't be too intense for the plants. Yes a touch overkill but nothing to worry about. I run 1000w / 190w true in a 4x4x6 tent. I think that more power is better Especially when bringing up seedlings it prevents stretching. Maybe you can get a lower power light for your smaller veg tent and out the 2 X 600s in the big tent...

I think battling the heat in a tent that size with a 600w hid will be your main issue.

As long as you can keep temps in check, it would work fine.

Thanks, I may set it up and run it for a few days and monitor the temps
