Is my ph too low or high

I'm almost positive it's too high but I want other opinions. I am using earth juice and I found my mistake. I was bubbling for 48 hrs the adding ph up to get it to the proper ph. What I didnt know about EJ is it will rise to the proper ph on own without any ph'ing. Since I was raising the ph to 6 then it was naturally rising even more I noticed problems after several weeks. I assumed I had too high ph. So I started feeding earth juice without bubbling and ph'ing and plants started looking great. Ej is 3.8 when initially mixed and then I applied. All plants improved fast but one and I'm still noticing small issues like this white dust looking shit. By the way I do have a minor spidermite problem. Check out the pics and tell me what u think.

For sure you have spider mites and it's not 'minor'. You better get a handle on those now or you're going to be crying later. This is what's causing your "white dust looking shit".

As to the plants; They are short on Mg for starters.

What medium are you using? How often do you feed / water? If I'm reading you correctly are you using Earth Juice pH'd @ 3.8, with the idea that it's going to self adjust at some point?

I had spider mites once, i picked up some vitality plus stuff, its a foliar spray that comes in a small metal container. I mixed this with water sprayed them then bang the mites were gone. Best of luck.

I've been spraying with neem oil every couple of days. I even looked through a magnifying glass and I dont see any more mites, but I will continue to spray every few days. Another problem I'm noticing is my leaves on my skywalker are rolling up a little. Also noticing a touch of yellowing occurring on my road dawgs. I'm still thinking ph is too high. Lights did just come on 10 minutes ago.

Hi Vonkins,
I don't know...maybe it's just me, but I've been growing for a long time and have never even owned ph up.

I dont use ph up at all any more. I realized earth juice naturally raises ph in the root zone. Initially ej is 3.8 when mixed and will rise accordingly in the medium. I didnt know that at first so I was adjusting ph to 6.5 then applying. EJ did its thing and the ph rose like its suppose to but I was already at 6.5 so it got probably up to 8 or so. Now I apply ej at 3.8. With ej the schedule is feed water, water, feed, I believe. First few waterings were at a ph of 5 then next at 6. They still seem like the soils ph is a little high.

I've never used earth Juice but that's odd behavior that trips up lots of guys I'd bet...

You aren't going to change the soil ph too much by watering. You may need some sort of calcium based top dressing.

Forget about the ph,your room needs a complete clean.Remove most all of the leaves burn them.Every nook needs to be sprayed and cleaned.Mites dont go away!Fix the bug problem first then your plants will be happier.

I bought a soil ph thing but it didnt work. What's the best way to check soils ph
I can't imagine feeding with such a highly acidic feed @ 3.8 pH...that has got to be goofing up your overall pH, and your plants are showing it. Are you able to check your soil's pH? What is it?

I don't run soil anymore and when I did, I wasn't a proponent of checking my soil pH, only my water inputs.

I read up on Earth Juice and what I find odd is that in one sentence they tell you not to worry about your pH (don't worry about this highly acidic feed you're about to pour into your plants 'every time' you water, "Earth Juice will self-adjust as it breaks down in the medium"....self regulate itself as it breaks down over time...huh?), BUT if you are worried, here's a 7 step process you can follow to adjust the pH yourself.

At this point run...just run! Either it has to be adjusted or it doesn't.

And if the pH does adjust as it 'breaks down' in your medium, how long does the 'breaking down' process take and if it takes, let's just say 5 days to break down or 'adjust', and you're feeding every 3 or 4 days, what's happening to the ever stacking feeds you'll end up giving it...in other words the 'breaking down' process wouldn't have to time to occur from feed to feed before you dumped more acidic water into your medium.

I hate to beat a dead horse...pH.

Neem oil isn't going to do it.!
