I concur. He's too busy admiring his nuggets. If he has no problems.. he has no need for RIU.. ..sad sad world.

LOL @ noobs calling me out. Enjoy your 20 gram yields...

You get a cellphone pic, hence the brownish color... can't be bothered to deal with anything else. I have manicuring to do.

How do you know how much they weight if you haven't manicured/dried them yet? If those are the colas you were talking about, they look to be about a 1/2 ounce each.....Just sayin'

This ain't my first rodeo.

Those are dried plants. I know what a oz looks like. Obviously I am guestimating, but you calling it a 1/2 from a lousy pic and then questioning my guess on weight is kinda funny to me. :)

Another pics of one of the plants slightly broken down in prep for manicure and jarring.

1/2oz comment is still cracking me up. There's a light oz (25g-ish) just in the buds from all branches other than the main one. That kola is about as big around as a soda can. Guess the shitty pics don't help much there. :-P

Well, if it was 6oz before, it ain't 6oz anymore. Budrot. I chucked at least 1.5oz down the toilet this morning, one of the kolas was pretty bad and the other was well on its way to being pretty bad. Never had problems with mold before, probably because the kolas were never this thick and juicy before. Last time around I only had around 2oz per plant. I also flushed the fuck out of them for the last 2 weeks, so they were nice and wet at all times. And I had my fan pointed up and away from the plants for the last 9 weeks for heat control -- should had it blowing on the plants for the last several weeks.

Learned an important lesson the hard way today... giant nugs down the toilet (4 seperate flushes!!). No man should ever have to endure what I went thru today. I just hope I successfully got everything cleaned up and the rest of the harvest is saved.

More pics taken with a digital camera.

These buds are obviously not manicured, trying to blow a fan on them for another day or less to ensure budrot problem is in the past. Buds on the white piece of paper are what is left of the infected buds... isolated as they require special attention right now.

Enjoy. :)

So sorry dude. You had an impressive grow going there. Can you tell us what lights made up your 293w of cfl. Are they making so much heat you needed to keep a fan on them? How big is the closet? Thanks for sharing both your expectations and your pain.

I have 1 125W and 4 42W bulbs. For the 125 I have both spectrums for flower/veg that I swap out when appropriate. The 42's are your regular Home Depot 42W day bulbs.

The closet is like 6' X 2', a regular non-walk-in closet. I have the grow area enclosed by a cardboard box that I cut a side and the top/bottom off of which has mylar on the remaining 3 sides. It does get into the 90'5 in the grow area, especially when the lights are lower, so yes I find that pointing the fan at the lights and up and away from the grow is the most effective way to get the temps down. My grow idles at around 88F in the daytime.

Thanks for your comment, although unfortunate about the bud rot, I still feel successful and a lesson learned. These buds will keep me happy for many months to come. :weed:

Indeed. Still a lot of bud left. What were you augmentmenting the soil mix with that needed so much flushing? You treating your girls like members of an East German olympic team? How high was your grow box?

I tried heavy flower feeding this time around, 2tsp FoxFarm Tiger Bloom EVERY FEEDING, every other day (count it up, 72 days / 2 = 36 feedings in flower!). Wanted to see if they could take it, and although they suffered some minor nute burn towards the end, overall this strain took the nutes very very well and I give this the credit for the higher yield. If I had done a good flush at about week 6 or so, the burn would have been avoided I think. Other than that, no soil additives or addition nutes -- just a bit of pH down with each feeding. I wanted to flush alot this time to see how much better I could get the taste, and probably starting flushing earlier than necessary but I underestimated harvest time, and shot for more amber trichs than last time as to try and mellow out the high a lil'bit.

The grow box is 10ft hig or whatever -- all the way up to the ceiling. But the lights hung at about 4.5 feet and the plants were about 3 feet above soil.

By the way, if you've never grown or smoked Dutch Passion's Strawberry Cough, I HIGHLY recommend it. Amazing happy, up high, beautiful nugs that look like they are coated in sugar, great taste, unique smell. This is definitely a connoisseur's strain. I use their feminized seeds and the pheno I have is quite predictable and stable, altho I did hermie a little this time (VERY little pollination, no seeds were even visible outside the buds). Grow-wise, they are quite demanding and will wilt much faster than most strains if not watered in time, especially in veg. They mature to about 3 feet for a 5 week veg under CFL -- a little taller than you'd like, but well worth it. :weed:
