4 plant perpetual?

Maybe the wrong section for this question but here goes.

I’m trying to figure out how to have a perpetual grow without going over the 4 plant limit in Canada.

I’m thinking two tents. Veg 2 take clones a week before it goes in flower and repeat. This should give me a harvest every 2 months depending on the strain. After the clones are established that would mean around 6 weeks veg including the week recovery before going to flower due to the clones being cut.

Does this sound achievable? Keep in mind that quantity is not much of an issue. This supplies my wife and I. Last harvest was in October i had 4 in a 3x3 pulled close to 9oz. Some will have to be given away because it will go past 6 months in jars.

Hi there, yes you can do it like that with 2 tents. Years ago I had two closet were I ran one for flowering and other for clones and their later veg.growth. You can wait with taking clones until the first 2 weeks of flowering has been under way, thereby you dont need to use a lot of power for vegging the new clones.

To clarify, lets say 55-60 days flower, clones taken after 14 days, they root for 14 days, then you only have to veg. them around 28-35 days instead of 55-60 days plus, hope this helps....

Hi. I have 2 tent 4 plant perpetual going, plant is to have two in veg and 2 in flower @ about a 5 week interval.
I really suck at cloning so I can't help you there, I grow from bag-seed.
Your 3x3 for veg, what do you have for flower?
Grow method? Lights?

Some will have to be given away because it will go past 6 months in jars.

I've frozen weed for storage with no detrimental effects.

I’m assuming you go from seed?

Yes seed - I'v killed far too many clones
Nice looking girls, you really think a 3x3 will be big enough?

I guess I could keep a mother but not sure how long I can keep her. Will it stay in veg indefinitely?

I’ve been doing 4 in 3x3 for 3 runs now. It’s tight but I haven’t had issues.

But - IMO a plant eventually "wears out" and the quality drops. But that would happen the way you're proposing too.

Why not minimise wait time by having 4 3x3s with one plant in each?
Do clones count toward plant count? If so from seed is a must.

Don’t have enough space or the will to spend that kind of money. Clones do count.

Replicant fading? Hugo...you've watched Blade Runner too many times. Clone only plants are a classic example of how resilient clones are. No fading after 50 generations...

And while I'm still under the influence...this business of perpetual harvest is unspeakably silly. OK, so you have a large commercial op...then a harvest each month makes sense. Product to the customer and all that. But for a small op...the disadvantages are greater then the advantages.

Meh, whatever.
I rather trim one plant every month or so, than 4 all at once, I have limited drying space and am fine with a mere 10+oz every 5 weeks

I don't know Hugo...I knew a few folks would take my post personally. About 15 years ago I set up a perpetual grow. For me it was not a very flexible or accommodating system. It made nute management problematic as well as other issues. I'm just saying for a nicely set up small grow...4 or 5 harvests a year is perpetual harvest and allows a breather between grows. IMHO
