So yeah I am in my second grow with coco , had great success only by PHing my water , now I started to notice some defiency in my grow , nothing to big , some purple stem and probably a calmag defiency. Thing didnt get much worse but didnt get better so I ordered a PPM meter as ive been told its really important , so I mixed my nutes in my water and my PPM was reading 660 , im currently 35 days in my grow with autoflower , should my solution PPM be higher ? My runoff is about 750ppm , not sure if thats good or bad ? I thought runoff would be lower then what I put in.

I'm only at about 700 ppm 6 weeks in if I try to go higher my tips burn I'm just chilling till they tell me they want more. I've got purple stems too and others I've talked to have said the same. could be genetic but I've also heard it can be more prevalent under LEDs but have no data

As far as the run off I'm still learning but that is in the acceptable range the only time to be real concerned is if its really high which would mean the plant didn't uptake most of the nutes and could indicate a lockout. The point of run off is to clear and replace the leftover nutes that will be high or low in certain parts with fresh in the correct ratio. I would only be concerned if there is a considerable spike in either direction

If you guys are running under Led it’s prob either cal mag or too low of temps. As they are autos I can’t really comment on how much to feed. Also is that on .5 scale or .7? I gave up on my led as I don’t feel like investing more money into climate control to keep my tent hotter. But if your using the newer white led you need to run temps in the low to mid 80’s as the plants don’t get enough radiative heat at normal grown room temps. Also plants under led use more cal mag and purple stems can be from either thing I mentioned.

Starting with Tap or RO water?
Nutes?

In coco....I add a calmag to RO until at 180ppm. (to prevent defs.)
Then add nutes.

Your in and out ppms seem ok.

Tap water at 90ppm start then I add my nutes and go to 650-700ppm

I guess I should've noted it's just my older fan leaves all other growth is green but as the fan get big the stem fades reddish purple
