I posted an info graphic a long while back about this biosynthesis process. Quite promising if all you are after is a specific molecule, and you don't need 100 acres to get tons of it. We already use biosynthesis for many items in our everyday lives. Personally I do like pure THC/CBD but I really enjoy the full plant spectrum, so I will always have my flowers/oils.

Probably as good as distillate and then they can add synthetic terpenes and make cartridges for Chinese vape pens for all the kids to dump their paychecks on.

I'll stick with rosin and buds.

On a side note... i always wondered if the hops plant (produces a flower that used to put the bitter in beer) was related to cannabis, cause theyre so similar. Turns out theyre very close cousins...

I think the cool thing about this tech is that they will soon be able to potentially create other cannabinoids like thcv , cbn, cbg, etc., that are not necessarily readily available in significant enough quantities in modern canna strains.

I recall reading a while back I don't know if it was in high times or what that someone had successfully interbred the hops plant with the marijuana plant resulting in a plant that look like hops but containing THC. I have no idea about the veracity of this. Apparently this was a way to grow THC containing plant matter legally where marijuana was illegal
