Intro and Cloning/Propagation Question

Whats up?! I signed up on this forum some years ago when I was attempting my first grow. It went ok, considering, due to the wealth of knowledge available here. Anyway, I’ve really only done a couple grows since then. Wow, things have changed a ton over the last 5 years!!!

I’m currently growing 3 WW from Nirvana in a 4x2 tent, 3 gallon fabric pots. Cana Coco and the full lineup of Cana Nutes. Hand watering every day, keeping water in at ph5.8-5.9 ppm currently 675. The girls seem to love it.

Started with Blurple LEDs (3xViparspectra 450w lights) on this grow and already ordered a HLG 320 xl QB kit to replace them with. Should be here in a few days!

Attached are some pictures of the process.
Last 2 pictures are current. All 3 are females. Currently 5.5 weeks old from seed.

Anyway, my question is about propagation. I’d like to collect seeds from the best one of these plants. I really like the pheno of the middle plant. See last picture.

I was originally going to intentionally Hermie her using colloidal silver in a separate room, but am curious whether there would be any disadvantage to taking clones from her and then spraying/hermie a clone in a separate room instead? This way, I’d be able to harvest her (the mother) and then get seeds from clones. I’ve always heard/read that you lose a little bit of the original mother from seed the more you clone? Will that “special something” be “muted” if I hermie her clone for seeds?

Thanks all who answer. Happy to be here!

Clone multipls and use pollen from one clone to put on a different one that way the mother doesn't have any silver affecting seed production. Just ordered a couple rods my self. A self can loose some vigor I have herd. But you will have lots of seed to test.

Where does this "pollen" come from in a clone from a female plant?

I prefer Silver Thiosulfate Solution "STS" over colloidal silver. A couple sprays and you're done.

And I see this all the time but it's "Colloidal" not "Colodial".

"A colloid is a solution that has particles ranging between 1 and 1000 nanometers in diameter, yet are still able to remain evenly distributed throughout the solution. These are also known as colloidal dispersions because the substances remain dispersed and do not settle to the bottom of the container."

Where do you get your STS from? You find better results and less hassle than vs. colloidal silver spray technique?

I mixed the STS myself. Both STS and colloidal silver will reverse sex. I use STS because you only need to spray once or twice. With colloidal silver you have to spray everyday for a couple weeks. Plus I can mix it when I need it.

I don't think they like to be called "he she's" anymore ;)
Hahaha
Anyway, I cut some clones and decided I’ll spray one with COLLOIDAL silver. I just can’t take pulling one of these 3 ladies out in the name of some seeds...

Damn, I should upgrade to a 4x8!
