Apera meters are all I use. 6.2 is too high for Coco

this is a problem with using ppm and not using EC. you say its 600 to 700 ppm but that could really be 1200 or more depending where the ppm meter is made. the tips of the leaves is nutrient burn the rest could be due to ph being off and not enough air movement plus getting too hot

I have a fan blowing on my plant , and im using 1 200cfm intake and 1 200cfm exhasut ffan homemade. temp are between 70-80 (night and day)

I was chasing ph for hours some days it was always reading low so I would keep using ph up until I got to 5.8 but my plants did not look happy and there were some purple streaks I knew something was up and it was that meter the apera has given me back hours of my life I was chasing ph for nothing......wow

well i say good luck trying to change your ph level in coca its a pain in the ass but when i grow in coca i would use a ph of 6.4 and never had a problem. i now grow dwc and the only time i see my leaves go like that is when the ph is too low as in 5.2. i find coca to be hard to grow in and to keep stuff constant

ordered hope to get my shit back on track this week , took 2 day delevery , buds are still growing fand attening , but the damage is there and hope it wont get worse...

Hi Hugrem,

I'd flush them a little, until the waste is reading what you're putting in. Ph and ppm.
Might want to lower the ppms slightly too, until the issue is on the mend.

I agree, calcium or sulphur is being locked out. Likely calcium. A low ph will do this.

In reality if your feed is ph6.3, and your waste is 5.8, the actual ph has to be lower than 5.8.
Taking into consideration prior to this your waste was reading 5.1 as well.

I'd aim to have your waste reading a fraction above 6.
If you feed at 6.1, aim for the waste to read 6.1 also. Make sure the ppms are the same too.

that was how I felt I almost sent it back before I opened it cuz it like 70 bucks know I love it so much I would by one every year if that is what it takes it is worth it

That feeling xd I was like why the fuck would I spend 70$ on a ph meter when I can get one at 10$ ... Anyway. Im still hoping for a decent harvest ...

If you're in coco, you need to run a pH of 5.8...going in. Forget about what comes out of the plant; you're wasting your time and chasing your tail. Worry about what you're putting in. If you're putting in right, you needn't worry about the 'waste'....which is why it's called 'drain to waste'.

I gather you've already ordered your pH meter, but for those who haven't or they aren't happy with what they have. The pH drops work just fine and they never need to be calibrated...just be sure you're not color blind.

You're growing an auto and your pH has been off a bit. I wouldn't do anything except dial in your pH to 5.8 going in and keep your typical feed schedule...leave the waste testing for another day. See this girl through until the end and use your notes from this for the future. You're going to have a nice harvest, so don't sweat it.

If his ph meter is misreading how is he suppose to feed it 5.8?
