Gorilla tent skin not fitting

You sure you aren’t trying to put the inside floor liner on the top?

How did you order the top kit? This may be important. Check the packaging

Not sure if the fabric is the same layout as other tents. But if you get the frame in the base and make sure every corner lines up with the fabric corners exactly and then slide the top over seating the two back corners then bring the two front over at the same time it should be easier. If you try and do left and right corners separate it will seem like its too short on fabric.
If the bottom is not lined up perfect it will be too tight.
Not sure if that helps. Pain in the ass sometimes these things. Last one I put up had me wringing with sweat after 45min of trying brute force. After a few bongs and a sleep I slipped it over much easier.

Yeah I was hoping the skin would tighten up the frame as it's sorta wobbly lol

I actually did what roger said there with putting the bottom on top. The directions had it seeming like it was right and I was confused. Switched em and suddenly it fit like a glove.

Wobbly? When I finish my frames I can side them across the room easily. Has to be something with the frame. Like one corner not pushed 100% into the corner holder. That's why I said to measure all lengths. A half inch here or there not pushed in tight will make a huge difference.

Oh they are all clicked together. I will check the measurements if I can't get it to fit tonight.

I just looked at my Gorilla Lite and I totally forgot that they don't used the hard plastic corners. All metal and have holes on 3 sides to connect to. So I don't see how you could of made a mistake with the frame.

I’ve put these up a lot... you can’t force 3 corners down and try the last it won’t work.. put the top on let the 3 corners fit but only 1 inch down.. then put the last corner then pull all 4 down snug... works all the time.

And I have the gorilla tent and the lite version,. They both are still sturdy and I can hang from them both... I only weigh like 145 tho lol

Do they have a plastic end cap on one corner that would be touching floor or ceiling?
Because if they go the wrong way around that would make it more difficult.

The top does should have zippers.. the bottom floor pan don’t have zippers all parts of the tent should zip together. Floor pan has a Velcro strap..

The top is a separate piece, there are no zippers on it. The rest of the tent is one piece with zippers, it's not installed yet.

I'll take a picture when the lights come on in there later tonite.

No plastic ends at all. All 4 corners are tripled sided metal with a hole in each "end". So the poles you "plug" into each part have moveable metal balls which pop into place once they are aligned. But if something is off and not machined right he would have problems.

I figured it out, yes I was trying to put the floor pan on the top lol. Maybe I was too high when I was messing with it the first time.

Anyways, thanks for all your help folks. This is my first tent and I can't wait to start my first breeding run in many years.

I have the same tent. I put the poles together inside the roof then placed it on top of the vertical poles. That was the easiest way for me to do it.
