Nra or not, guns are not safe. Living in a city or a semi urban area, you will never need guns. If we are afraid of other people and feel the need to carry guns, we cannot justify or explain this behaviour with our “rights”. This fear is induced by inequality produced by capitalist system. When one is poor and other is rich, there will never be justice. Now this applies to every macro and micro scale. We must own guns to defend our families, our homes, our countries? Against whom? The ones we oppressed.

This system is not sustainable in my opinion. More guns will not solve anything and we see how one asshole could commit such a heinous crime when guns are readily available to his disposal. I’m not gonna suggest that people will not commit crimes in the absence of guns but at least we can stop terrorists like this asshole who murdered 50 innocent people. It is not enough to ban semi-automatic rifles tho. All gun sales to civilians must be banned immediately and if possible a recall should be issued on every firearm.

Never gonna happen until we elect better people, not better politicians.
Where were you before when i was verbally getting gangbashed by half the users on this forum hahaha.

guns are not bad. people are bad. preventing people from legally owning them this is a good thing but i will never stop people for getting them. in Australia most people cant legally own or buy guns but people still get shot so clearly its only a prevention not a solution

I can see how you may think people are inherently bad as you are seeing mass murder as a reasonable solution for a perceived problem. This mentality is whats wrong with this world.

Im pro gun and will not change on that front. Most gun violence in America is from handguns, concealable and very powerful at close range. I honestly believe ritalin is destroying kids, all the kids I know that take ritalin are very antisocial. A lot of these kids that shoot up schools were on ritalin or other meds.

so you agree its the people not the guns. preventing people having them is still good but mainly for the sorts of people you just describe

I think that was what is referred to as "a leap of faith" type of argument.

The US has by far the highest gun homicide rate of any developed nation. It's the number of guns and ease in getting them that is the problem. Wherever did you get the idea it was Ritalin?

Can we please have the same rate of gun homicide that Canada does? Do we need to sacrifice another 10,000 lives to the altar of the NRA this year? Just so that people can falsely believe that they are safer with that gun.

BTW, I'm all for gun owners using their weapon to off themselves. That's the most common time a firearm is put to the use it was designed for. I'm OK with that.
