Giving up and buying overalls... need advice

I already have a pickup and bad teeth. Terrible teeth. As well as lots of hats. So I have decided I might as well get overalls, but I want to make sure my intuitive choice is not another rookie mistake, so I'm asking: denim bib overalls, are they acceptable? Anything I should consider before I take the big leap? Are Dickies OK?

After I get the overalls, I might go for boots but that is another decision for another day.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm already married so I have no social life to ruin by dressing like a ... fill in the blank with any politically correct term for a person who is just too "rural" or "bucolic" for his own good.

Are you planning a guerrilla grow or is this a joke? I would never wear overalls, I would get hot fast but boots are a must have imo. I had bad teeth and got dental implants best money I ever spent.

Yes, it is a mostly a joke but I decided I might as well try getting something to wear while I'm messing with stuff outdoors that can get dirty and not have to be immediately taken off and washed. Really don't have any "work clothes" for horticultural activities.

My teeth are basically beyond repair or hope of remediation because of complex medical factors dating back to when I was a teenager with cancer in the '70s. I figured if I have to look like a character from "God's Little Acre," I might as well have the appropriate attire.

Cato,
I'd go with Carhartt if you want quality (at a higher price). You'll be stylin' all the way to the feed store. And if you go commando...it's really easy to scratch your balls.

Well, the main reason to wear underwear is in case your pants fall down but that should not be a major concern with overalls as long as the shoulder straps hold up. So, freeballin' it is!

Not the Dickies, they stay that weird blue and don't fade even. Cheap scratchy cotton, too.
Carharts are choice for winter, but the Walls Big Smiths are the way to go in Summer.
They breath in that air, and thats nice cotton, and buckles don't break.
but denim is for sure the most redneck, plus no shirt, steel toe boots, a fat cigar, and a straw hat for the win.
Hey, that was me! You forgot the dog and pickup with my shotgun.
God, I was a redneck, in them days.
Osh kosh bgosh train conductor overalls
They only make those for up to age 8 now, unfortunately.

Even in surrender you can still make a fashion statement; go with the white painters style for best results

I see a lot of moonshiners wearing the bib overalls , not sure on color preference but certainly an alternative to growing without the need of a new wardrobe :bigjoint:
