was just wondering if there were any European landrace strains? Like plants that grow naturally in the wild in places like the uk? If so does anyone have any knowledge on these? Or are the true landrace strains only from places like Africa and India etc,,, because I’m sure ruderalis comes from Russia does it not? So does that therefore mean ruderalis is Russia’s landrace? Anyone?

What Russian landrace are you referring too? I find this hard to believe since that isn't the normal type of climate any of the other landrace sativas come from. A long flowering period ain't gonna make it there. Also it's Asia.

Cannabis: Evolution and Ethnobotany

Take it all to another level, very rare to find any active drug hemp in europe

as the thc was bred out years ago

Ruderalis in Russia has no THC some CBD,

and our Sativa is so far in the boon docks very few care

tho I'm curious myself

get the book its a great read

good luck

ps Ruderalis is a 'landrace' in the sense it comes from the land, see it as an addition to cannabis

Hazeman uses a russian landrace that is not described as ruderalis or autoflowering in Black Cheese. Description doesnt say much but could always write to Hazeman and ask. Tropical Seeds Company have a solid description on the north greek Athina landrace.

semantics: countries can be on more than one continent. the country of russia is on both Europe and Asia. and the climate of russia ranges from humid subtropical to polar ice cap. so there are parts where u could grow sativa sure.

to answer OP question, not really, or at least not that exist anymore or are known about

of the widely known landraces the closest to europe are ruderalis from siberia and kazakstan
then there is lebanese and similar hindu kush from afghanistan and pakistan
rest are central/south america, africa or asia
