Sour Diesel???

I'm told I want to grow this?!?!

I'm also told its a clone only strain and anything from seed is of questionable genetics that tend to hermie.

Whats the real deal on this strain??

I bought 2 clones a few year ago and made lots of fem, beans and only got 3-4 left.i hope to make moor this year and if I do I will give some away.

Sour diesel is clone only but every plant that’s ever been grown is “clone only” meaning that even a full sister seed from the same seed batch will not be the exact same. Maybe not even close. Especially if it was not an inbred breeding line (ibl) , or a landrace. What you want is a clone but most people are not that fortunate so we look for seed versions.
So you might want an s1 seed. (Selfed) Sold buy dr greenthumb for instance.
Or you could look for a backcross version. I think Cali connect or DNA has these available.

I believe that the clone itself has a tendency to herm late flower so I would expect the possibility to be there for any s1 or bx.
Somebody correct me if I am wrong about something here.

I believe there two completely different versions of sour diesel.. I could be wrong.. I recently grew sour diesel fem from blimburn seeds, no herms, not bad smoke, but not great either. Nothing like East coast sour diesel I am accustomed to. From what I understand blimburn rocks the west coast sour diesel while DNA and many others provide east coast. For what its worth I highly prefer and recommend east coast sour diesel

Here is that recent blimburn sour diesel - all in all not a waste but I would not run it again

dr,greenthump in Canada his seeds will not germ,, very good as in old seeds.

Ive grown sour diesel from seed. And have just harvested a very impressive chemdawg from seed also. (some say is one of the parent strains to sour diesel and others say IS sour diesel?) The sour diesel i grew threw out a few seeds (maybe 3?) The chemdawg didnt. I got 15 ozs from 1 big plant grown indoors under scrog. And dense resonous buds. Even the popcorn was fairly solid. Id go chemdawg over sour diesel myself.

I cut early too because I mixed up my days and had stopped feeding too early. The sour pheno's taken when they should be would be something else. I was told that I would have a hard time getting rid of any pheno's, they were right. I'm buying another pack just to have.
