Marijuana is illegal because people have become so docile and passive they don't put up much resistance to anything that is done to them. If marijuana was truly legal, it would sell for about as much as green beans self for as produce in a grocery store. Nothing good ever happens if folks don't put themselves at risk to make good things happen.
harry anslinger didn't like blacks or mexicans either.

Most people already live in a prison within their own minds, I will be free where ever I am. So, folks in Colorado have it better than folks in Texas? I will watch Colorado. So, its great. Lets see what it morphs into. Then we can decide. There is not a state in the country where people who grow and use in their own home get arrested. Most counties post a daily arrest record. Look in your own state and county and see how and what people are doing when they get busted. You will go blind before you see a case where somebody like me gets arrested. What you will find is that for the most part, there are no busts for just using marijuana. You will find that almost all marijuana possession charges, are made when someone is arrested for something else like shoplifting.

Different people use this stuff for different purposes. I don't smoke it. I am fine with you smoking it. I use infused oil. Do, you care? I don't. Some people use it for recreation. It is good for that too but it is not only a cure but it is a preventative for cancer and countless other maladies. If more people realized the health benefits of this stuff, it would be legal.

Hey, we are American citizens or from some other supposedly democratic society. We are part of the sovereign. Government gets its authority from the sovereign, in theory. Government needs to get its authority from the sovereign in practice. Yes, I am taking a big chance, I suppose even if there is not a lot of risk in it. That is because I strongly believe in what I am doing. Marijuana is illegal because people mindlessly obey oppressive laws.

You said earlier that you were happy with it being illegal in Texas. You also described yourself as in self-isolation, for all intents and purposes self imposed prison because you grew it.

You describe living alone, never sharing what you grow, never even discussing growing it, living in fear of the law. Sounds awful.

Legalize it. I don't know why you advocate anything else.

just to let you know that i wasn't implying or comparing you to a rat like anslinger at all.
only pointing out the harrys racism had more to do with the criminalization of cannabis than anything else.
also he used his view for racist propaganda.

You said I am a self isolationist. You also said that I wanted it to remain illegal in Texas. You also said I am living alone.
All I said is that it never leaves the house.

My preference is that illegal is better than the kind of "legal" it is in Colorado. Is it really legal in Colorado?
There is a law and then there is what the law morphs into over time. Sometimes getting everything you want in the present moment is not the best option.

I appreciate you posting that. Hey, I am a lifelong political activist. I saved those pictures and am making good use of them elsewhere.

My taking infused oil is my preference and that is about it. I like it because it has additional health benefits, without the loss of the high.

Years ago this guy named Vernon Howard made the point that idiots never unite. One of the things that is lacking in the pro marijuana crowd is that of uniting and working together. All of big pharma works together constantly 24/7. Fleecing the rest of the country is not as easy as it looks. But, that is one reason why they get what they want, and we don't.

People act as if state governments are giving them something when they legalize. No one is giving you anything you don't have the right to have without their permission. Rights have to be forced out of government. Making a harmless substance legal is not giving a person a right. Anything as regulated as much as it is in Colorado does not constitute being legal.

There are countless people who do exactly what I am doing. For anyone who uses, I recommend growing. Personally, I consider it to be my civic duty. If enough people grew at home cannabis laws would become like jay walking laws. Who should grow? The older you are the better. There is an odd thing about being old. People lose interest in what you are doing and don't suspect you of anything.
If I was 19-25, there is no way I would do what I am doing. That age group is suspected of everything.
I have done serious statistical studies on who gets busted. The older you get the the safer you are.

So, my suggestion is that all you are young give their parents some seeds and explain to them that you want them to live a long time and what is extracted out of this plant will extend their life considerably. Guess what? You will be telling the truth. Yes, encouraged Grannie to grow, make infused oil, use it as a supplement. She probably likes gardening anyway.

I ask you. How many grandmothers is the state interested in housing in prisons?

You said you grow but never share, never let anybody know about it. I merely repeated it. For some reason you like Texas laws that make you a prisoner.

Sounds like an awful way to live. In Oregon, I give it away to friends. We share and compare each other's grows.

Motor Trend on the new Tesla Semi....
"Early on, we heard that Walmart and J.B. Hunt had already placed orders for the Tesla Semi. The reported list has now expanded to include Anheuser-Busch, DHL, FedEx, Meijer, Pepsi, Ryder, Sysco, and UPS. The number of trucks in each of those orders varies significantly between companies, and it will be a while before we know whether any of them decide to order additional Semis. But there's no denying that Tesla has caught the attention of some big players in the trucking industry."

Fangirl more.

Meanwhile, in the real world today:
  • Sales down 82% in Norway.
  • Sales down 76% in the Netherlands.
  • Demand for EV's has fallen 53% in China.
  • Telsa set to release financials after the closing bell today. All signs point to yet another loss for the company of around $1.50 per share.
  • Stock already down 1.5% ahead of the report.
  • Deutche Bank rep laughs at Tesla's display of autonomous driving. Says cars were borderline wrecking on the course that Tesla themselves laid out.

Tesla Raises the Bar for Self-Driving Carmakers

In unveiling the specs of his new self-driving car computer at this week’s Tesla Autonomy Day investor event, Elon Musk made several things very clear to the world......
Tesla is raising the bar for all other carmakers.

https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2019/04/23/tesla-self-driving/
This from yesterday right after the so-called test:

Deutsche Bank analyst Emmanual Rosner, who took a test drive of the vehicles Tesla showed on Tuesday, was skeptical, writing, “Throughout the ride, the car performed relatively well but experienced a few rough maneuvers and had one disengagement where it failed to recognize cones blocking off some parked vehicles on the side of the road.”

He continued, “Given our own test ride still faced issues despite being on a pre-planned course and under relatively simple road conditions, we believe the company’s targeted timeline for both full self-driving and its robotaxi service is at the very least aggressive. Ultimately, we still wonder whether Tesla can even solve the large challenges of fully autonomous driving with its vision-based approach alone.”
He's been talking shit about self driving cars for 4 years now and STILL doesn't have it figured out. They can't even go around a damn parking lot with cones in it that they set up without fucking up.
