You have no idea how happy i am to hear about the smell of that choc mint og i had also read elswhere useful said it was one of his favorite plants when he was given a cut. i can say the smell carries thru in breeding. idk if its the same smell but it's strong. traditional dank skunky odor. reminds me of a mexican brick seed i popped in the 90's i talk about that plant to this day it was my first ever grow in a 3 floor apt building my best friend lived on second floor long story short the entire halways reeked of skunks on both floors. if my freind didn't live on the second floor it woulda been a problem lol. i didn't know shit then tho and i didn't clone it. i didnt even know about cloning then as i grew it to save money on buying weed lol.The F1 threw a pretty wide range of phenos. The one tip I can offer is that some of the shorter phenos that you’d assume would finish rather quickly, can take longer than the lankier phenos to finish. So I would be more vigilant about the trichomes around week 7-8 before assuming it is time to back off the feed for a fade. They may “look” done, but the trichomes may tell a different story.
The F1’s also displayed a nice variance in traits other than structure with nice melon/hash/earth/potato skins smell/taste profiles. I made the F2 with multiple females and one male. The male was very Bubba dominant, but being paired with the multi-females means you should get a more Bubba centric, but still pretty open spread in the expressions.
The Chocolate Mint OG is a stinky plant in veg and really stinky plant in flower. She’s in my top 3 plants for smell intensity.
thanks for your F1 info. i always wonder if F2 from bought packs are realy F1 i mena i gotta assume they have ran it for a cpl generations just to see it and smoke it before release. i would assume any tru F1 would be testers. is this accurate?
oh and i will use my jewlers loop on trichs with those jabbas, thanks for the tip.
