I've only tried to keep her healthy as long as possible and the rest was simply strain dependend.

Nice fat cola, bro, and she got a pretty fat booty, lol!
Perfect for a SOG with no veg.
Reveg her if the smoke is worth it and make her a mother plant. With 64 1gal pots in a 4x 4' tent that should end up with +600g within only 8 or 9 weeks.
There is no faster method available and the older the mother(genetically) the better the results.
Wish i had but she got the chop. Didn't think u could reveg like that & still maintain its normal genetics.
Prob couldn't reveg to reflower but might have been able to reveg for clones. You think they'd be just as good if i had?
Chopped n hung whole plant.

Thanks, man!
When you leave a few nugs on the plant you can reveg many plants. It just takes a while but you can speed up it a bit adding some clonex in the water. Indolbuttery acid is an hormone usually associated with vegetative growth and it helps to remove the remaining flowering hormones.

When she bounce back healthy you can use her as mother plant and use just her clones. But you're right, often you don't get the same results as in the first run. The whole reveg process is nothing that happens in nature and plants are not used it.
You can went to the doctor every few years you can look like Cher in the best case but you'll not win a ¼ mile run, lol! So you'll for sure not break any records with a reveged strain. But if the "stone" is awesome it can make sense. You could use it to create a new strain or just to feminize exactly this single plant.

Time to show my end result, but first a few words about what was used in the run.
Grown in 50/50 mix Ocean Forest and Happy Frog(Fox Farm), lightly fed using Grow Big, Big Bloom (both Fox Farm) and Botanicare Cal/Mag.
Lights - Roleadro COB ~135 Chinese watts

Pictures will tell you the story. I'm not expecting any votes, but I'm happy I made it to the end and had fun along the way while getting educated. Good job everyone. Here we go:
Total harvest dried and de-stemmed - 12.6 grams.

She got the fiskers 2 days after the last pic.
Flowerd for 65 days counting from when the buds started to somewhat form on two main colas.

Humidity is the number that's up top(60), but it has since gone down to 56% last I checked (kept the buds in a paper bag, that's in a glass jar ). I lost .2 grams so keep that in mind when voting :bigjoint:
Here is a close-up of one of the mains

I tested the uncured product, and it had somewhat euphoric all over the place type high, that came on fast and was strong. Still has that fresh herb smell, but should cure to a nice sour/chemical earthy notes.

Its been an interesting competition growers. All things must come to an end though.
I will point out what I did in this comp...
I grew in pure coco and a cube of rockwool. Used megacrop, epsom salts, sweet candy (carbs), diy hammer head pk booster, beneficial microbes, and enzymes.
I was always on time with my update.
Always had the word of the week in my picture.
Always posted top, side and bottom pictures.
Whenever someone was suspicious of my grow I always answered their questions with honesty and/or provided pictures.
I showed the 4inch rockwool trick alot of growers probably didnt know (talk about style points).
I also had barely any deficiencies. I also had no excess of any nutrient. I did however light bleach my plants a little.
I also did last calls for any growers that might have forgotten to update in the week and I notified players to put the word of the week on their updates if they missed it.
I also helped a couple of growers out with growing tips.
Like I say "let the pics do the talking" and vote based on that.
No smoke report but the smell is like rotten fruit. Buds are dense and rock hard.

So, it's that time again... After a long and fructiferous few months, we have reached the end. Though we started with nearly five times this number of contestants, we are reduced to the few and proud finishers. Things may not always go our way, but we go our own way! Finishing this cup again has been a learning experience, as it always should be, if you're not growing, you're dying! I congratulate each and every one of you that put your heart and soul in to this, its no easy accomplishment; as you see only a fifth of us made it here.
Without further ado, I will submit my entry:

G13 Labs GigaBud

Medium: Coco
Lighting: CopperHead LED CX4 + 730nm
Nutrients: CX Hydroponics
Schedule: 12/12
Yield: 14.6 grams! De-Stemmed and ready to smoke

@Thegermling remind me what strain you grew? Outstanding amount from a party cup man, I don't think I got that much from 4 plants combined, which the rest we're grown in 6" pots

I posted this awhile back but I carefully made a dugout around the rockwool cube. Rockwool doesnt hold much water, it dries out fast. The cube in the coco made it easier to water BUT like I told random, who was trying out coco for the first time, the trick I did not reveal back then was you can feed a high feed of 1.9 EC but the next watering go with 0.4-0.5 EC feed. This helps flush out built up salt from the last feed. The reason why I dont use 0ppm water is because, in coco, that can cause osmotic stress in the root zone. I kept alternating feeds like that and watering took like 5-10 minutes. I can only speak for coco and rockwool but if you dont believe me try feeding 0.8-1.9 in these 16oz without the low feed trick and watering will be a pain in the ass (slow). I know because of trial and error. I also scraped the top of the coco with a metal fiber brush, gently, to break up and remove some of the organics in megacrop that would pile up.
Heres a pic of the 4 inch rockwool method I did on bigger plants basically scaled up.4 inch.jpg 4 inch other side.jpg root.jpg
Those are roots on an auto. I used to exclusively grow autos before growing photos. Autos are way harder to grow. If you mess up/stress early in their life once it could end your grow. Unlike photos where if you give them time they can recover in veg. This comp was basically like growing an auto. Very familiar territory for me.

Smoke Report

Smell: 10/10!

Holy shit! I am blown away by this G13 Gigabud funk! Its like opening fucking sweet earthy fruity funk I swear. I smell some sweet berry undertones, with a strong kush bite. I'll be looking forward to popping some more of these in the future!

Flavor: 8/10

Though the Gigabud flavor doesn't shine through vividly, it makes up with a hearty, drool in the bong, intense sweet kush. I'm a pretty big fan of true "kush" strains. Its like fine scotch, the bite at the end is just proof its doing the job! It could most assuredly be a smoother burn, and a smoother flavor; I have a good idea of what the future holds for her!

Bag Appeal: 7.5/10

My nugs turned out a bit smaller and more dense than expected, I really should have lollipopped better. I'm not upset by any means! Tons of dense bigger than popcorn buds, and great colas to go with it all. I've seen frostier, and better formed buds. That smell just bleeds through the jar, I'm sold on smell right now! I think I could have done a better job caring for this gal, but what's done is done!

Effects: 8/10

After the first couple hits, I felt tension ease up in my tired knees. I had a long day and haven't really smoked all day; a perfect time to check quality! As I write, I seem to be using the backspace key a lot, that's usually a good sign. A few more tokes and I swear now I'm typing slower, the rest of my body has eased up some. Sledding all day with kids really takes it out of me now! This is more of an upbeat daytime type of "head high" with a definite pain relief effect too. Some anxiety has faded too, two of the primary reasons I smoke... Now if I can just find the rest of my thoughts....

Overall: 8.4/10

I am quite happy with the way that my Gigabud turned out. She ran longer than I initially accounted for and didn't do quite as well in the yield department as I wanted, but damn if I didn't come up with something that I'll regret smoking all of! I'm going to try my damnedest to cure this little bit for as long as I can stand! I have a good feeling that sweet earthy flavor will mature as it did throughout flowering. I may not give notice to this strain on a dispensary shelf right away, but the smell would sell me in an instant! She's not the prettiest or thinnest girl on the block and though her "aroma" could be called "stinky", I've found that sometimes, those girls are little more grateful for the love they do get!

Peace out and be sure to vote for me :peace:

Thanks, man! That explains it very well. But I have still one pr two question left...
Did you watered only the rockwool cube in the first few weeks or the whole cup?
I'll try the rockwool trick myself but want to make it right.
BTW, that's a crazy high yield, bro!
You almost doubled the all time record. Hard to beat that in future comps.
Your buds must must be 40-50% more dense like mine cuz our papers have almost the same dimensions and the amount of buds also looks pretty similar.

From week 3 the growth rates were simply amazing.
I'll also try the low-high feeding technique. Have already seen a coco grower on youtube using this technique but don't remember his name.

But you should really not complain before we have the final votings, bro.
There is really no need for .. and for sure not with such a high yielding plant.
Its all teasing.. like when I say "amazing", lol!

I dont know man. What lights are available?
I mean I could still come in 2nd or 3rd because I know some people dont want to give me props.
I think to date @The Dawg has not mentioned which lights exactly we can win. I only know its an unknown HLG fixture probably with QB228red spec and I believe Timber and Amare but no one knows which growlights exactly or I've overseen that post.
Maybe he will torture us to the end just to keep the fire alive, lol!
