You know you could have hired a family of 5 Mexicans to grow 5 acres for you and mule it across the border to your front door for that? And got to hit his wife and daughter! At the same time! While he's video taping saying " Si amigo es penocha meuy el fuego no!"
Damn man thats high for $10k! Would have decked out the WHOLE BASEMENT for that much. I'm subscribed, I just have to see what this yields!!!!

I know it seems like a lot, but between my bro and I we have each gotten a crop out of them, so we already have a return of 6 grand. Next crop should be bigger and then the profit will start in about 8 more weeks. Once everything is going the grows should not cost more than $70 per month to sustain, that's cost of electricity, nutrients, RW,RO water, CO2 and maintenance combined.

I dunno about hiring Mexicans, it sounds great and all, but mules? Those are easy to spot. That's why Juan Valdez ( Dude with the Coffee) never got across the border, it was the damn mule!! :P

Beginning of week 7. 2 weeks into flower here. Running PH 5.8 850 PPM. You can see they have grown even more, the pruning of the lower halfs stems did not do much to deter growth. Got about 10 inches to go before they are touching the glass, so should work out to just a few inches from the light after the stretch is done. anyway heres pics.

Beginning of week 8 here, flowered 3 weeks and its in full blooming stage. Still got 6 inches or so before the 2 tallest plants will touch the glass, I think I may have got them to the perfect height as all the other plants should be within an inch or so of the glass at harvest time.I might have to LST those 2 taller ones over a bit, although if they don't touch directly under the light they might be ok.

Running 850PPM here, Advanced Nutrients (AN)SensiBloom A&B, Hornby big bug, voodoo juice, a bit of carboload and some AN Vitaboost. Avg PH 5.8 although one week I was out of town it spiked up to 7.2 and a few leaves show that. Got a few yellowing leaves here, not much to note, but I might bump up the N a bit, as its a bit soon for that.

Pic.

Update end of week 5, 1 week of flowering done. Using 350 PPM here, plants again have nearly doubled in size. Tomorrow I will be pruning off about the lower half of the plants stems. If they don't stop growing so fast I may have to resort to a screen to keep them from touching the hot part of the glass, we shall see.

hey , i dont mean to be annoying by quoting from way back in the middle of the thread but i just read it now for the first time, was just wondering, why do you prune the bottom of the plant? (beginner here)
me and my buddy, were in his dads back yard out in the bush last week, and we stumbled on some plants there, and the bottom of the plant was bare, it was a tall plant, sativa, with the slender leaves and what not, but i figured maybe they trimmed the bottom of the plant because it makes bigger buds at the top or something?
thanks, and btw this is a wicked journal

the main reason for doing this is because I use only 800 watts of HPS light to flower with. Light penetration is only a couple of feet, so by pruning off the lower half stems I keep from growing fluffy bud that is only wasting resources. It forces all the new growth to go to the top instead of all over. When you pack these plants in close together you basically just grow the main and secondary colas.

Outdoors I would never prune, sunlight can reach very far. I would assume that an animal ate the lower half of the plants you saw.

Ok heres just another update, gonna post a few more pics this time too. Running 900 PPM here. This is the end of week #4 so the stretch is done and the tallest plant is about 4-5 inches from the glass, hopefully everything goes to plan. The biggest plant has 2 main colas, I didn't top or fim, the cutting turned out that way, I also have one in the rear that has 3 main colas, again not topped. Gotta go get my CO2 bottle filled tomorrow its all out.

End of 5 weeks flowering, half way point!! Everything looking good, upped PPM levels to 1000. Added some calcium and that seems to have stopped the leaf margin problem. Also took good care of PH levels , as I was in town all week. Voodoo juice, AN SensiBloom A&B, Carboload, 1/4 rec dose of AN Overdrive ( Bit soon for it), Hornby Big Bud. Been keeping PH pretty steady at 5.7. Buds are almost doubling in size each week, so I hope they can keep it up, if so were looking at a nice yield. Nothing closer than 3 inches from glass, so looks like we might touch at end of week 8.

Sup Nodrama - I've been a member of these forums for a while, just checkin out grow journals and setting up plans for my own grow. I really want to get a BCNL bloombox, despite several warnings from that forum troll FF. I imagine once I get a few grows under my belt I'll feel more comfortable building somthing. -- blah blah :joint:

Anyway I want to say KUDOS for those buds. I really was wanting to get my hands on some NL x BB seeds cause of the high yeilds / higher potency than just BB. (Not to mention NL was suggested to me for my 1st grow) A question I had for you was, where did you get your NL/BB seeds? Most of the places that don't look really sketchy don't ship to the US. I was kind of thinking of just being buddy buddy w/ someone on the forums from a diff country and getting them to send me some. But fuck, that just seems sketchy too. :-?

Well good luck with the remainder of this grow! Looks awesome and I'll definatly be referancing it durring my grow!!

nixy, first off thanks for the kind words. I got the seeds from Nirvana seed co. a few years ago. The seeds sat in the package in a dresser drawer for a long time before I used them. 100% germ rate, all were female out of the 5 I got. I made the best pheno into a mother and have been growing from clones for some time now.

I am not using the "Bloombox" I am using the "Producer". I have my mother plant and clones/cuttings in another box called "The Mothership". The Bloombox can get a bit hotter and doesn't have the same yields as the producer does.

The boxes are spendy, but top notch quality and the best thing is......they fucking work well.

PS the forum troll FF is really a pretty good guy, he built one hell of an awesome growbox last year, but hasn't gotten a crop out of it yet due to moving across country. I'm hoping to hear from him once he has his new home ready, I want to see his mega box in action.
