“Greiner said dissatisfaction with the trade tensions would not stop farmers maintaining relations with both the Trump administration and their Chinese buyers. He travelled to China in March and plans another trip in the summer in the hope that business may return to normal.

“We were very pleased with the meetings we had [with major Chinese soybean buyers],” Greiner said. “We were well received, and everyone told us, ‘We want this trade war over just as bad as you do, and we want to get back to doing business the way we were.’

“We left there fairly upbeat, but after last week I don’t have one ounce of optimism left in me.”

Note the dumb bastards are still behind Trump. They’re clodbusters for a reason. Most are too stupid to do anything else.

I tried that Pepin method to debone a whole chicken as recommended by @Fogdog, made some gluten free stuffing and added sautéed courgette and wilted spinach, damn that was good hot with butter gravy and cold with tomato salad and mustard vinegarette.
Since the Chinese are the largest holders of American debt all they need to do is dump US treasury bonds and bankrupt the whole country. Shit’s getting interesting, eat well while you still can.
Hey that's pretty cool feedback, zedd.

Thanks. Makes my day.

It's going to take a little toughness at the beginning. China will bark back. But they need the US more than the US needs them. Trump is right about that and the US should be strong. Focus on China. They're the ones hurting your country. If the US does nothing, it's long term real damage to your country.

Your country needs to hang tough on China and not back down. Strength is the only way to win with China.

Blow me comrade, China has all the cards because our corporations and politicians stacked the deck in their favor long ago for short term profits, they sold this country out to get rich on slave labor.

In economics, the principle of absolute advantage refers to the ability of a party (an individual, or firm, or country) to produce a greater quantity of a good, product, or service than competitors, using the same amount of resources.

important trading partners for the US or China - or play key roles in their supply chains.

The battle with China is one of a series of trade fights the US has waged with other countries over the past year.

Mr Trump has imposed taxes on imports from Mexico, Canada and the European Union, to encourage consumers to buy American products. All of these countries retaliated with tariffs on US goods.

Who's paying for this ? We Are.......

Well then, maybe you should start a thread calling US Senator Chuck Schumer a Russian, since those are his remarks. I'm assuming the group here has called him out as a Russian, correct?

Blow you? That's pretty forward. No offence, but I'll pass.

Be Best Comrade!

Global warming is real and it’s here in Alaska.
That's
there's a nice mex/american diner in town here that has hung an american and a mexican flag outside of the entrance for years without any controversy, as soon as trump secured his parties nomination the restaurant was immediately facing a backlash as well as threats for displaying the same flag that was used for several years prior from the local idiots whom been sitting on their brains all these years...that's what happens when the bigots felt a new reawakening sense of empowerment to openly express their racism freely in this trump era.
time will tell, trumps been villainizing other ethnicity's since he conned his way to the presidency, i guess it would be only a matter of time before he stated to fuck with the asian-american people.

What?
What, is it a dry cold?
Yea, no wonder tourism slacks off in the winter
Fuck that shit, I'd much rather be oiled down on a beach in Jamaica drinking some rum and smoking a monster spliff, while the blue Caribbean water washes my toes.

The thing is other than say 10 years ago. America is pretty much on its own.
I mean if you get involved in a war, I would have a hard time deciding if yo are the good guys or the bad guys.... it is no longer clear.
Even after the twin towers disaster, it became clear that we weren't the good guys no matter how bad the other guys were. We weren't the good guys. Saddam was a bad guy too. But we weren't the good guys then either.

I don't mind that the rest of the world has lost its positive view of the US post WWII. We weren't good guys then either. Just the other guys were worse.

For myself, I want the US Defense Department to be about that rather than offense.

Bud, it will hit 70 here for the first time this year on Saturday. You won’t believe how hot that is to us. When it hits 85 for a few hours a couple of times in the summer people think they’re going to die. I went to southern New Mexico in March a few years back. Wearing a t-shirt. People there looked at me like I was an alien. It was at least 45 and was going to get warmer.
