Nice haul Mr. C. It’s surprising how often a Skunk pheno appears, Ive had several different strains that occasionally threw a plant you’d swear was Roadkill Skunk. Weird.Final weight is 43.48g which far exceeds my original estimate of 14g. Unfortunately there are a few dozen seeds in the lowers buds.

The smell is pure skunk. I’ve not sampled yet but will give a quick smoke report in a few weeks.
Are you using Bovida packs?I’m really hoping my dry/cure can save some of the sweet skunky aroma of my plant. Hasn’t been happening lately though as I’m experimenting with different methods.
I’ve tried with them and without. Main issue is drying too fast. Going with straight paper bag currently and next will be hanging the plant in a bag. If I can get the drying locked in, curing wouldn’t be as difficult. Are you using Bovida packs?
What's the relative humidity in your drying space? What do you remove from the plant before you hang it? What fans do you use if any?I’ve tried with them and without. Main issue is drying too fast. The buds were very airy and fell apart easy, had a sweet earthy smell with a hint of citrus. Most of the sugar leaves were dried up the day I cut it down and smaller buds also crumbled into nothing. I found a single seed just now when I removed the large stems and got a weight of 11.4 grams after removing the small white seeds also. Im sure the trichomes It did have fell off days ago when the plant started to die off. But I got 9 new seeds for the next comp!@J.James the quality of those flowers really changed. What did it smell like after digging in for those seeds. Those leaves don't appear to have many trichomes on them, which is very similar to my plant.

My harvest methodology on this girl: first remove all leaves with no trichomes, which was most of them. She got the chop on May 1st and hung dry for 12 days and then I broke everything down May 13th morning. Drying environment temperature range was 65-67F and RH 45-55 with a 60W 18" oscillating fan blowing on low 24" below hanging plant in complete darkness. Very minimal dry trimming required then straight into 1 gallon ball jar. I burp about every 12 hours and will do so as needed usually 2x / day week 1 1x day week 2. I may split the jar in 2 in a week and try the Bovida in one.
RH is varying. Not quite sure what it is upstairs. Downstairs it’s between 40-50%. No fans because they’re drying out too fast. Have done wet trim, no trim with full plant hanging, brown paper bag, jar curing with burping etc. and all haven’t created the desired end product I’m looking for. Still searching for that quality...What's the relative humidity in your drying space? What do you remove from the plant before you hang it? What fans do you use if any?
What Light and Medium do you normally use? Do you wash your buds after harvest before you hang them? Have you tried adding a humidifier to your space?RH is varying. Used to grow with HPS and outdoors, now am indoors with LED growing in soil. I do not wash my buds. Next options are that humidifier in room with them hanging in closet or I’ll find a large or wardrobe box to hang them in.What Light and Medium do you normally use? Good idea, Humidifier increased my dry time by 2 - 3 days and really made a huge difference. But if you are worried about the threat of powdery mildew, Rense your buds after harvest in 5 gallons RO water with 1 cup H2O2 (3%). I just Dip into H2O2 and then into Clean RO and Hand dry. I don't do baking soda and lemon juice, Feel like that's freebasing some weed lolUsed to grow with HPS and outdoors, now am indoors with LED growing in soil. I do not wash my buds. Breeding comp?We are talking about starting a new Comp here in about 5 weeks If anyone has any ideas on what to do to change it up a bit and make things interesting, Now is the time for suggestions.
