Over watering in flood and drain tables?

I can see why you think that but with a total of 300ppm and the leaves are not all that dark. I would expect a little more scorching on the tips as well. Now if he had coco mixed in 4 hrs. might be a bit more doable. I think your bang on with the 2-2.5 hrs. I see some deficiencies and with the info provided I still feel its under watered. But hey I have been wrong before and I will be wrong again.

I used UV once, and for the cost I didn't feel it was worth it, plus you have to hang it.
I'm sure your grow will be fine as is.
Save the money and buy some good seeds, you'll be better off in my opinion.

But... the leaf tip curl or claw... that is something ive seen with over watering in promix. I was the champ at that. Partly why i went hydro. I have never seen that with under watering... just all around droopiness of the entire fan leaf... so i am a bit skeptical. Having said that, this is only my second hydro run.

Watering more often makes no difference until they show they're not getting enough. How big are the pots they're in?

If your plants are only in clay-pebbles, it is technically impossible to over water.
As long as your water is moving now and then of course. But with eb & flow you are doing that because that's the system.

What is causing your problem? No idea, but for sure not over watering.
