“These small telecom companies now face billions of dollars in costs or the end of their businesses entirely after the Trump administration effectively banned the Chinese company last week over spying accusations.

It is a prospect that could leave vast swaths of rural America with no cell service.

In response, a bipartisan group of senators proposed legislation that would create a pool of $700 million to help local carriers replace their technology.”

$700 million? They’re facing billions in costs and a bipartisan deal gives them $700 million? More Trump economics. More winning.

If this
Last story I saw on the subject said that over 7,000,000 auto loans are in arrears over 90 days. 7 million cars to repossessed because how many people can come up with 3 months payments to bring the account current? Once repossessed they sure aren’t going to get it financed by anyone else.
That's a lot of Anxiety, so healthy for a nation.

Sure they will- by another buy here, pay here auto dealer, at exorbitant interest rates they can't afford. And the cycle turns, taking advantage of the poor yet again.

“Previously, the vague "core interest" term was generally understood as referring to Beijing's territorial claims, such as those on Taiwan. But a commentary piece published this weekend by state news agency Xinhua emphasized that China will not yield on its prerogative about how to manage its economy.

The Chinese-language article published Saturday claimed there were five ways in which the U.S. is harming the growth of the global economy by launching a trade war with the Asian giant.

"At the negotiating table, the U.S. government has made many arrogant requests, including restricting the development of state-owned enterprises," the commentary said, according to a CNBC translation. "Obviously, this is beyond the field and scope of trade negotiations, (and) touches upon China's fundamental economic system."

There it is. The USA demanding complete rebuilding of another country’s economy solely for our gain. The Chinese know this bastard will be totally gone by 2024. No matter what.

Maybe we should take their advice and start working on being more competitive.

What? SOCIALISM? OMG! On Memorial Day even? OMG. Of course we support the entire petroleum industry with direct subsidies, tax credits, reduced lease expenses and now the people are even paying for seismological surveys and reports already prepared. Just waiting for some driller to just go to work. But that’s NOT socialism or even close. Right?

Conservatives are for spending cuts to programs that help other people.

“Afghanistan’s Rare Earth Elements have been valued at around $1 trillion despite being one of the poorest nations in the world.

According to a survey report by US scientists, Afghanistan may be sitting on one of the richest troves of minerals in the world, loaded with minerals deposited by the violent collision of the Indian subcontinent with Asia.

The report further added that Afghanistan may hold 60 million tons of copper, 2.2 billion tons of iron ore, 1.4 million tons of rare earth elements such as lanthanum, cerium and neodymium, and lodes of aluminum, gold, silver, zinc, mercury and lithium.”

Here’s why Trump is willing to provide per diem and travel expenses for Taliban negotiators. Although we will not negotiate with terrorists. Right? Oh that is unless they have huge lodes of valuable metals and minerals.

“A simple visit to an obscure factory by Chinese President Xi on Monday is all it took to raise the specter that China could be contemplating cutting off supply of critical materials to the U.S. and potentially crippling large swathes of its industries. Also, fueled by political innuendo in Xi’s recent call for a new “Long March” in reference to a key founding tenet of the Chinese Communist Party, speculators are growing increasingly wary of Chinese export restrictions to the U.S., including rare earth minerals.”

Check out which industries would be affected. No time to check? Okay it will affect every industry in the USA. Aren’t you glad sane adults run China?

You buy it- and then tell everyone you want peace.

Hypocrite.
Bernie Sanders taught me you can be against something but still vote for it. My first Lockheed stocks were given to me along with some Northrup Grumman shares. Blame wifey and birthdays. Now I'm hooked on stocks and building a strong profitable portfolio
Peace through strength.
I also own guns and very much for gun control.
off topic.. My middle daughter has become a Pescatarian. She had to explain to me what that is. I enjoy our conversations.
