Moving plants outdoors, looking for advice.

So where I live the weather has been pretty stormy/overcast all the time, so I decided since the time is closing for outdoor grows( I live in the midwest) , I’d just start them indoors and move them outdoor when they mature a bit and hopefully the weather will be better. Here’s the question I have though, for indoor grows I keep light on 24 hours during veg( I don’t like 18/6 just my preference though) so when i decide to move them outdoors when they are 3 weeks will the sudden change in light/darkness make them go into flower? Maybe I should put them outside early and not wait until week 3? A bit stumped on this one. Thanks for reading this and look forward to hearing everyone’s advice! cheers.

They'll definitely go into preflower. All mine are preflowering very hard, almost looks like they are trying to flower.

The older they are when they go out, the stronger they will be and the worse weather they can handle. Start pumping them full of silica now.

Ahh, silica, that's what my outdoor plants were missing this year. The wind beats the crap out of them.

Silica has a lot of benefits beyond stronger stalks. Just remember to cut it before flower so you don't have big stems and little buds lol.

Is there anything I can do to prevent them from going into preflower? There are 9 days in now... should I just move them out at 2 weeks old instead of 3?

They'll preflower around a month, give or take a week. So, wherever you have them, they'll preflower... just much harder outdoors this year. It's not normally like this. They don't heavy preflower like this until almost the end of June here. Month early.
