I have a couple of Hindu Kush going right now from a bare cutting I got from a buddy. When I planted the cutting there was a small branch near the base I cut off and put in some water for 3 weeks but it didn't root. So I scraped the bottom a bit, stuck it some some rooting powder then into a small pot of promix and it got going.
The mom got nute burn early on from nothing but composted manures in soilless promix and I've been starving it a bit so it's much lighter green than it's offspring so giving it a good feed of Mega Crop today to see if it greens up.
Have 2 other kush strains from him as well. A Dutch Kush and one called Ayahuasca Purple. 13 plants and 6 strains going atm and wanting to plant many more but already getting too crowded. lol
All need food and water so headed downstairs now to fix them up.

That's a nice sized plant, hope it pulls through!
Have you ever smoked Hindu Kush? I've always heard great things but never smoked it. Closest thing I smoked was an Afghani kush that punched me in my lungs and tasted like Bin Ladens 4th wife's 5 day old under burqa (not that I would know )! Seriously best tasting and thick, expanding herb I ever had. Hoping Hindu is similar

I grew Afghani Kush years back but didn't much like it. It's possible it wasn't what buddy said but he gave me a bunch of seeds from what was a hermie pollination. I bred out the hermie and they yielded great but I found it very bland. Still have lots of seeds from my careful breeding. A few guys have grown it out and got mostly girls and no herms. Nobody was impressed with the effects.
I called her Beer Can Betty. Feb. 2010 with AN nutes in a RubberMaid DWC tub with 15 other plants at the same time. She was the biggest. All from seed. Was 20 at the start and culled 4 males.
I've never tried any of the 3 kushes I'm growing now so hoping one is the bomb and I'll grow it for my stoner friends. I'm more of a sativa guy getting into CBD strains.
That guy I got the cuttings from gave me a sample bud of Violator Kush that he had pollinated a lower branch on with Strawberry Banana Kush. I found 3 seeds in my bud so want to start them up pretty soon too. He has been mostly growing moms to supply cuttings to cash crop growers. Better money in that than selling pot so the Violator was the first plant he'd flowered in almost 20 years. His wife has breast cancer and he wants to grow medicine for her. I made up 2 oz of RSO for her last year and he'd been getting pot donations from a few other folks to keep her supplied. Now my wife may have liver cancer so I'm starting these flowering ASAP. Have lots in reserve so plenty for her. She doesn't use pot so I'll start her with the hi-CBD stuff I'm growing and gradually add higher THC oil to it to get her tolerance up.
Need more grow space!!!!

Dang, I hope she doesn't. My mother was suspected of having liver cancer also but test came back all good but she had other issues. Anyways I hope you guys are alright. Just keep growing that pot because maybe the cannabis helps slow any possible cancer. Never know.
Side note. I'm hoping to get into the same type a thing with clones and seeds. In CA its called a Nursery license . The damned license itself cost almost 6000$, plus you have to show a square footage plan and approved building and the only "approved" areas by me are few and far between, so the greedy landlords jack up lease cost . So even before a person can get a license, you have to spend thousands of dollars or more.
But the growers ave shops need clones and/or seeds, plus growing and taking care of strains is relaxing as shit. You do what you love and you never work a day in your life.
