Setting up a new room 7`x14`

You can wash them a few times. They last me about 2 or 3 years. Smaller ones can go in the washer, bigger ones you can hand wash. They sell a kit to clean and re oil them but you could use normal laundry detergent or dish soap and then spray with a coating of veggie oil. lol They grab everything

Another option is an inline filter housing like the ones by fantech. I had one a long time ago and I felt that stuff could get by the filter inside.

Well i just ordered a dustshroom from amazon($149.99 for 6"). Says it will be here by tuesday, ill have my buddy fab me up a cover for it to look less conspicuous

Also think im gonna trade the new 10" fan for my buddys new 6" . works for both of us. I can match my intake to my other 6" exhaust and he can run a bigger fan like he wanted

Well perhaps a larger size wall vent would have space under there for a dust shroom. Would take some measuring. Then it's just there to hide and protect the shroom, probably make it come off easy to work on the shroom. Something similar to this style but large enough to hide the shroom.

No i meant to fill in for the dustshroom while i wait for it to get here. I need some sort of filter covering my intake so bugs and dust dont enter through it.

I talked to my buddy this morning, hes gonna make a vent cover for me. He wants to see the dustshroom first tho before he fabs it up.

i think im gonna just say fk it, and run Co2....My buddy works for a welding shop and says he can supply whatever co2 i want , discreetly.

How would this change my setup @Renfro would i just remove the intake fan from my plans? everything else stay the same?

Might just order the Spartan and return the saturn 5

If your room can hold temps without ventilation then I say go with CO2 for sure.

Toss a good size scrubber in there if you wanna control odor. Good use for the 10 inch fan.

you think ac is a must if running co2? I think I'm gonna have a very hard time getting temps up in the mid 80s in this room. Maybe I'm underestimating how much better it will be being sealed and insulated . Our nights are cool, even during summer.


Maybe i am just confusing my situation and should stick to the intake and exhaust idea until i have ac installed. I wasnt even considering the AC as im not ready to buy or install AC just yet.

Then you’ll want a controller with “fuzzy logic”



Nothing beats a properly built n sealed room. (Taped & mud) the extra work now will pay off in yield later.
So much easier to clean too.

I'll search fuzzy logic now. See what it's all about

Ya now that I'm done plastering, priming and painting, I'm glad I went this route. The room feels very clean and bright.

Ya I made an error when buying my controller. It has a timer for co2 but doesn't read ppm for co2. So as it stands, i either need to buy the co2 sensor or buy a new controller like you linked above and return what I have( titan Saturn 5)

I was gonna.buy the spartan series but changed my mind last minute and went with the Saturn 5. Wish I had my time back lol

That’s where the fuzzy logic control comes in, it figures out the best times to in rich n exhaust and makes everything work together nice.
I don’t know a lot about it, sealed is so much easier, so never looked much into it. just the upfront cost suck.

Mini Split 3000-6000 , Dehumidifier 1000- 2500, C02 1000-2000 .

I bought a cheap mini , n it bit me in the ass
Old one had a 1 year warranty, new has a 10 . I wouldn’t risk using a cheap one again.

Actually fuzzy logic is for the tank as oppposed to the generator. It prevents overrun when releasing the co2. It figures out how long it need to open it, the first few times it will overrun but it learns so it shuts off and the PPM rises to the proper point.

If you have to exhaust then it will blow out the co2 periodically and refilling tanks will be every 2 or 3 days. If the exhaust has to run more than once every few hours then CO2 will just be a waste.

I never said anything about a burner,
If your exhausting , then ya your going to lose co2 n be refilling more, but having FL is better then not having it .

I know but fuzzy logic is used with a tank and not with a burner. It has nothing to do with exhausting.
