Hey guys my roots finally dropped into my reservoir after 11 days. They are bright sparkly white!! However, I noticed on my second set of “true leaves” that they are a light light green/ almost yellow and curled downwards. If I snap a few pics could you guys help me figure out what could be the source? (Cal mAg deficiency, over watering etc) Or let me know if I’m just being paranoid

Ok will do. Should I add base nutrient + cal mag to up it or just one of 2?
Are you using tap water or RO/distilled? Make sure your solution level is good and then check pH and EC. Personally I would then adjust either or both. If RO add cal mag in the proper ratio. Consider your final PPM goal. Remember there’s nitrogen in the cal mag.

RO water. Do you mean distance from reservoir to bottom of net pot? I’m not sure what you mean by solution level

Yes the distance from net basket. Make sure that is right before measuring and adding. You will need to add cal mag.
Ok all done doing that. 348 PPM now @ 6.08 PH.
Will wait 48 Hours and post results.

Just popped 1 Gorilla Glue #4 & 1 Bruce Banner #3 as well. Something else to focus on in the meantime.

Much appreciated :bigjoint:
Check PPM and pH daily. Read up on why either shifts and whether you should address it. If this is your first hydro you will not believe how fast it will grow. No more than 30 days veg with your level of experience. Not insulting. You’ll see why about week 3 when you flip to flower.

Also recommend keeping your eye closely on water level. If you get a higher PPM than when you started this is why as it uses water. Top it off before adjusting and again check the pH and PPM.

When the PPM drops to about 200 and water is correct level then increase your PPM to about 450. After that a drop of 200 is when I adjust. Drops to 250 then adjust to about 600. When you near about 900 with your level of experience just maintain.

All this will be routine for you in no time. Good luck. Consider Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect nutes although anything will do.

Looks like we’ve got her all back up and running
Yeah, up until just now, I've only ever used DWC. I've oftentimes noticed what you were going through. I also use the same nutes for hydro. Anyways, be careful with overfeeding. Some strains don't even like half of the recommended strength and you have to cajole them into taking more and more until they finally get acclimated, especially when they're young.

Everybody's different, but I really like and prefer to grow hydroponically. I think you will too. Glad its working its way out for you and good luck, dude.
