"High Lights" - high powered, CRI95 flowering boards made in Australia

There's only a small amount of the UVA in the boards - enough to produce a mild stress response (which you will probably notice as a stronger smell, initially) - so you won't have any issues putting your plants under the boards in the last week or so.

A lot of growers use "finishing lights" which are CMH 10,000K lamps with lots of UVA/B to increase the quality of their produce in the last week or two without a big impact on yields. You can do a search and check it out.

Also, we're having a good discussion in @OR_Grow's thread over at Led Gardener about UV here: https://ledgardener.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4395

The UV stuff starts on Page 4. Please let me know when the lights arrive and if everything is OK.

The average hydro store guy cant move in is store for the amount of HPS TUBES they hold. My experience is they know nothing about current or past led tech other wise they would have stopped pushing the Mars barrow some time back, do a little research before you return
Cheers mate
lol not one hydro shop were i live stocks mars what the fuck are u on about like i said slighty retarded

Plants are loving these High Lights. Been flowering mostly the same cuts for a while now but I can see the impact the lights have had after a short time. Are you looking to build some more in the future?

Gutted we won't see more of OR_Grow on here...from the posts I've read on Led Gardener its a huge loss to this site.

Hi mate, yes the plants love them. The main thing we've noticed is the smell - it seems to be a bit stronger. That's obviously subjective, so I'm not sure if you're noticing the same.

I think the straight 2700K boards might have the slight edge in growth/yield, but the UV boards seem to have the edge in quality. Which is pretty much what we would expect. There's a 3% difference in blue/red ratios (11% blue, 46% red for the 2700K vs 14% blue, 43% red for the UV boards), so it's not a huge difference.

I might have to do a proper side-by-side grow to test the theory instead of relying on anecdotal evidence. The problem is, most of the 2700K red boards have gone to growers who are already supplementing UV.

Sadly, I agree with you on @Or_Gro - at least we can all still follow him on LG. And there aren't any numpties there like nob333

Another run of boards is looking like a distinct possibility now. We just have to be a bit more organised about it, as it means more investment and finding more homes for them. If I have my way, we'll produce some more 2700K as well as UV boards.

I'd really like to see how everyone is growing first, though. As I'm sure others would.

I'm approaching week 3 from flip (in soil) so smells are still building at the moment, will know in time though, running multiple strains, all are loud and distinct but a couple of the GMO crosses really test the carbon filter.

That is quite a minimal difference between the boards. Seen buds that were finished with 10k bulbs and the resin production is through the roof.

I'll happily take more boards off you if they're produced 2700 or UV. I'll update with pics once it gets interesting.

Well the Prawn did tell me "photons, lots of photons and well spread out", shit hang on that might have been the @lightlORd about photons, it was definitely Prawn about spaced diodes...

Hey mate, it looks like we're going to have to produce some more boards then, because we've had some interest from a hydro shop that may clean us out.

Are you in a hurry? I need to see how many we've got left (it's not many), but I might be able to put some aside for you. It could be up to six weeks or more to produce more boards.

This Mint Julep has been loving life under one of the High Lights
mmminty highligh - Copy.jpg
She's further ahead than normal, putting out more nose and frost. Spectrum, diode spacing, size of board...plants like it, I like it, got a couple more boards and a double heat sink

Now running 4x High Lights in the 4 x 8 along with 8 Quantum Boards.

Looking forward to a strong finish, thanks @Prawn Connery

You need to run them a bit warmer, +80F, your girls are freezing.
Also worth mentioning that led bud is smaller but denser. Our first led crop looked shitty AF in size but then we realized that the hps was double the size for same weight abd that our led side actually done +2g/w and +2 ounce per sq foot.
