Lights too bright? Growing short and stocky. Small grow tent so it might work well. Should I dim the lights to get more vertical growth?

To get wider nodes, you can: raise the light, dim the light, have a higher day/night temp swing, have shorter veg "days" I.e. 16/8 veg

I personally like em short and stocky with less node spacing. But if you want more node spacing I agree with what T macc said.

They’ll stretch in flower and you’ll appreciate that shorter node spacing. Especially the top cola.

Stocky as hell lol. You can make her stretch if you need to fill a certain amount of space in time. But either way, I think lollipopping is inevitable

You could also throw some red light at them. I like growing them short early and top at the 6th or 7th node then add a red light to get the branches clear of each other.

Great question. How many branches do you have right now? How many plants in what size grow space? Depends on growing style, experience, how much space you have, how long you intend to veg, how much enviro control you have, final pot size, and your end goal, total yield, bag appeal, quality, bud porn.
I train for 4 main colas per square foot.

The shading is going to help the side branches stretch. In a few days the sides will be long enough you can tuck the fan leaves down between the branches to expose them to light. Or you could just wait a few days for the side to get bigger and clip off the fans maybe a couple every day. 6 of one, half dozen of another. It will give you better air circulation and make the plant look nicer.
