Black Trichomes

Trying to judge the readiness of this plant based on the trichomes, but I see milky and black trichomes, no amber. Is it ready?

you need to illuminate the trichomes more in the picture to be able to see how milky they are

Certainly in the window... I get those black trichomes from time to time too and wondered if it was normal, and even worried it might be mold, but IDK... Maybe give her another week or so?

Thanks, I will give her another week.

Anyone know what's up with those black trichomes though? Is that an indicator of anything? Or just an oddity?

I would guess it isn't really black, but perhaps a dark purple?? Anthocyanins present themselves in the trichomes some times.
Ok, that was all I could think too. Did some googling, and didn't find anything specific about mold and black trichomes (nothing much at all about black trichs). I just said that because the first time I saw them was on a plant having some mold issues. The same girl also has some purplish hairs too and the end of flowering, so maybe that's all it is...

sometimes what your really seeing is a dark shadow through the trichome, ive had orange hairs give off the glow of almost amber but upon further observation i see an orangish hair behind it giving it an amber ish hue

looking back at the first pic and the most recent pic i see the dark trichs in the picture itself but if you cant find it in close ups with good lighting it could be an illusion

I see a couple on the bottom left of the close up, but you have to zoomin.@Nizza

if they are black, they are dead and micromolded. they are fully oxidized and worth nothing, just what Ive found on the interewebs, no link,

interesting - I wouldn't doubt this - When I had them, it didn't look like a good thing. If I ever happen to get them again I will snap some pics...

I think i might of even heard it on "DudeGrowsShow", with a "special Guest", which is usually on point with cannabis information. I was trying to find more info, just havent had the time brother,
