A lot of fresh weed still tastes killer. My friends are always bugging me for weed before it's even dry. They still love it and say it's better than the dispensary weed.
Yep, drying and curing is the #1 noobs fuck up their harvest. They usually dry poorly and then try to rescue hay smelling flowers by sweating them out in jars for months and burping them daily.I rarely cure anything. If you dry the plants nice and slow and grow them healthy they turn out dank and don't need to be fucked with and burped and waited on for months.
Hang dry 7-10 days on the stems, then 4-7 days off the stems in paper bags and when the buds are perfect to smoke they are perfect in general. Taste great, smell great, smoke great. That simple, jar them up for storage and you are done.
This is some real shit here folks...I rarely cure anything. If you dry the plants nice and slow and grow them healthy they turn out dank and don't need to be fucked with and burped and waited on for months.

Yep glad to help. It took me a few years of experimenting to get it just right. I tried lots of different methods, and options, and this works just right. This is some real shit here folks...
I hang for 4-7 days ( not a super big crop)..
But once I put it in that brown paper (3-5 days) bag..pull it out sorta crispy... to the jar mainly for storage... I burp it... getting weed out... man I thought I was f’ing up... but it never comes to life til I put it in that brown paper bags...I ask everybody for brown paper bags... thanks Thundercat
I actually will use what ever size bag I need for the amount of weed I have. Usually that means normal grocery store sized paper bags. Some times I will only have a little of one strain so I might use a lunch bag though. I don't ever weigh it before I put it in the bags since it still has the sugar leaves on it at that point. I will definitely fill a grocery bag half way though. That still leaves enough room to roll down the top, and to give it a shake once or twice a day and have some air space in the bag for the buds to move and mix.To the folks that use paper bags: I assume you mean like the little brown paper lunch baggies? How much do put in the bags, like full or half or just a few nugs? Just curious, probably gonna try this x
Some buds just stay pretty bright. I don't go off of color, I definitely go off of feel with bud dryness. I never have bud that lasts for 4 months though.....its always GONE as soon as its ready.@Thundercat, if your bud doesn't darken, does that mean you dried it too much?
Appreciate anyone's answers tbh
Depending on answers I'll post pics, I've got some stuff been curing or just jarred, for like 4 months
Yep exactly right, people rave about my buds and they never last more than a month after they are finished being properly dried to perfection. Properly drying them takes 2-3 weeks though. So the guy who is saying that his grass doesn't need a cure is the same one saying it's always gone as soon as it's dry? OK.
3 weeks dry? I might call that a cure. Regardless, very different then thread starter who seems to asking about a quick 5 day dryYep exactly right, people rave about my buds and they never last more than a month after they are finished being properly dried to perfection. I have tried various drying methods in the last 14 years I've been growing. I have cured buds for a few months before, but they were never significantly better enough that it made any sense to hold onto buds just so they could cure. When people are begging me for more and raving about how good it is, and happily pay a premium I don't think I have a problem .
I'm not the only one either . Lots of growers grow great weed that is tasty and perfect once it's dried, without having to mess with hygrometers, or burping jars, or any other games for months.
You are all welcome to do what you want in your gardens though. I am just sharing what I and many other growers have found to be an excellent way to process our product.
Lol dude you are just looking for something to fight about man and I'm not gonna do it. I offered my suggestion to the OP about how I do things based on my experience (several others chimed in that they do the same things with awesome results). So we offered the OP advice to help him improve his process. You trying to fight with me and throw shade is not contributing to the thread.3 weeks dry? I might call that a cure. Yep if the humidity is real high it might take up to 3 weeks to get the buds just right during my drying process. Usually its closer to 2 weeks, but then sometimes things move fast in the winter when the humidity is real low and it only takes 10 days. Some day I'll have a separate drying area with environmental controls and it will always be about 14days to perfect buds.Fair enough, I read you don’t cure then I read you dry for up to 3 weeks, just trying to understand.
