NRA a "terrorist organization" says San Francisco

I agree that they are assholes, but I think this is counterproductive and fuels the fears of right wing gun-nuts.
Its hard for me to think that a organization that funnels millions of dollars from Putin, and holds a rally at every city immediately after a school gets shot up is not stoking terror for the people affected.

It doesn't seem that out of line to me.

Add to that they ( the NRA ) actually pay money and take every imaginable action to keep guns in the hands of people who clearly shouldn't have them.

That is what is commonly called aiding and abetting.

It makes them just as culpable as the people who pull the trigger.

I think it diminishes the threat of actual terrorists. Considering the threat that far-right violence currently is, labeling the NRA as a terrorist organization would tend to make the label meaningless to much of America.

It's the same tactic that right wingers use, such as calling people opposing racism, racist. It works as a propaganda tool which is why I'd prefer Democrats not go into that wallow. It's a fact that the NRA is selling guns not advocating how to use them. They are fine with suicide, accidents, gang shootings, you name it. They are altogether evil. Terrorists.are just a subset of what the NRA is.

I see you've been studying rhetoric ;)
Ya want to gain allies and too radical an approach will turn people off, evidence based policy is best and if ya can't make a case in court...

There are a plethora of laws the GOP put into place to protect the NRA, manufacturers and sellers from civil liability. The democrats will repeal these laws and these guys will end up naked, if the NY state AG don't lob their heads off first. They should have moved to Alabama years ago

A picture is worth a thousand words, NRA member. Never know when you might need to defend yourself in the shower, fucking nut jobs.

I notice he covered his diminutive pecker with a big phallic looking gun. A typical member of the "tribe" displaying his symbols of social identity and cohesiveness with his ilk. I sure as shit hope he wasn't trying to impress a woman!

That's why you need to get rid of guns, guys like this should be carrying spears, it fits better

I don't really believe in the "convince others" to gain allies approach. Or maybe its more like I don't feel like putting the energy into trying to convince the jackass right wingers who post here that taking action on global warming and implementing policies to reduce gun violence are not partisan policies. Or maybe I simply won't debate whether or not civil rights are something only white men are entitled to. Or maybe I'm not the kind of person who is good at that.

All I know is that the fascist right aren't here to debate and so I don't try.

I try to put a lot of effort into humor, helps everybody who's sensible and helps me maintain my equilibrium and channel aggression creatively.

You are not wrong to try to reason with fascists using a light approach. I just find that people who support fascist thugs flying into Portland because they want to watch fascist thugs punch liberals on u-tube impossible to tolerate and have trouble finding a light humorous tone with these people. Just speaking for myself and not commenting on how others should behave.

Some folks just ain't go no sense of humor, with those who do have a normal one it's a sign their minds might be changed, I don't mean cruel jokes that demean others or spread falsehoods or lies, we've all seen those. Fascist and haters in general are unhappy people to begin with, most have "issues", many show up half in the bag and are easy to beat up! All are fear driven personas who's real concern is a loss of social status, as other peoples arise in American society. They are stupid losers, no wonder they are afraid and hate a more intelligent & socially adroit person like Barack Obama, he was a symbol of the future and everything they could never be, intelligent, popular, respected and successful, he also had class and was cool.
