Hello all,

Like many others I’ve been sifting through LED lighting to try and find perfect setup for my tents.

The tents will be
2 5x5s going full cycle veg-flower
Or
1 5x9 full veg to flower with multiple lights

The lighting im trying to choose between

Timber Fatty vs :
Vero29 gen 7 COB lighting fixture
950 total wattage
PPF: 2100 micromol
PPFD: 905

Fluence Spyder 2p:
PPF : 1600
Watts : 650
Efficacy : 2.5

I’m somewhat new to LED lighting but I have the option to get 2 lights whether it be one of each or two of the same. It seems to me that the spydrs are much more efficient and can be placed very close to the plants and the timbers are stronger and further away?

Tough decision. You would be ok with either of these very different LED setups but I have been staring wantonly at Timber COBs for awhile. Saving up beer cans. Hey good luck with whichever lighting you choose and happy growing!!!

You'll be out a bit over 2k for those.... can get a LOT more led watts for 2k going with other options.

I want to like timber, I really do. But I dont feel they are worth it at the price. Also havent much liked raindan any time I've spoken with him. Just speaking to him in the past has made me go from about to complete a order, a nope.

Theres other options on prebuilt units at much lower prices too.

Idk how to create my own forum or ask questions I’m new here.... but I’m in like week 2-3 of flower and was wondering if there is any point in transplanting and if it would Increase my yield.

Well the plant needs fresh dirt to produce the max yield so yes transplanting helps. Be sure to throughly wash all the old dirt away.

You can also use the search to find a more relevant thread, or the giant new thread button

I looked briefly into DIY stuff & a plug and play option makes most sense for me rn. Also I’ve seen HLG QBs get a lot of talk .
My price range is pretty high I’ve been working a lot of OT to build higher end couple of tents to work with. Open to some other options though.
&spoke briefly to dan answered questions I had in timely manner.

If you dont care about the price then neither are bad options.

Kinda comes down to if you want cobs or strips at that point. Or a step lower and what shape you think is sexier. Or what name you like better.

I'm personally happy with my QB from Alibaba that runs about .50 cents per watt, vs paying 1.50$/watt.
I don't think theres much differance personally, theres a very large thread on how well they perform here if you havent already seen it

Meh you cant make everyone happy all the time. Have 10,000 conversations cant help but rub a few the wrong way.

Dispite my feelings of the past I still want to give your product a fair shot in the future an have talked with you since then recently. Mostly just waiting on news of the readings of rfi on the drivers you select for your products.

What QB did you get on Alibaba still pretty skeptical. Long run and possible failures of products and warranties or possible scammers on there...
