LED HELP QUICKLY

Sorry guys, I hate to do this. I posted this in the led forums as well. I just really need an answer quick but I’m trying not to spam..

VERY NEW to LED. I’ve used LEDs on my past grow (I killed it) and so far on the one I’m doing now, but I don’t understand electrics or basically how they work.
My buddy is an electrician so I’ll have him explain the science stuff

but what I need from y’all is some advice on which light I should buy!
Ordering one tonight no matter what, so time is of the essence! Growing in a 2’x2’x4’ box

I’m stuck between the $150 HLG 100v2 3000k (actual pull 95w)
Or
The $70 Bloomspect 1000w (actual pull close to 183w)
Money really is an issue for me so I’m drawn to the stronger, cheaper Blooomspect. I had my eye on the HLG for so long though now I’m second guessing myself. Anything will be better than the light I have right now anyway ($70 32w 3 spectrum Feit grow light from Home Depot)

Instead of 100v2 I would spend a little more and get the 135w from hlg. The v2 really is only good for veg but still will get your plants where they need to go the 135w will just do it better. I have both in a closet and imr ally wish I went with 2 135. I would go with the rspec too if you're doing a complete grow. Also have the mars ts1000 and that thing is cheap and kicks some serious ass. Would definitely consider that too

Yep I agree with this

Op If your choosing between the 2 you listed no matter what, I'd choose the hlg

I was looking at the Mars too! I was worried about heat from it but can you just put the power box outside the box? I’ve heard mixed things about it as well. I’m gonna check out that 135 though right now

The mars ts1000 and ts2000 seem to be getting decent reviews, but i wouldnt choose either above the HLG

Id look into the alibaba qbs before i bought the mars.

If you can swing the 135w , even better

I couldn't agree more. I have both too, and it's nice that you can adjust the 135. I also got the Rspec version. I also have a couple 260 Rspec's in there too. But one thing is the 100 has a more even spread, where the 135 is more focused with many more leds in a smaller area. I'm just a little worried about your height in there. With only 4 ft, you might have to turn them way down. The 135 is powerful. You might even be better off getting multiple hlg 65's which should be able to get even closer. Many options. Here's a pic of both. Oh, and I've cleaned up those cords, haha.

So I think I’ve decided on the hlg100. Can’t swing the $200 for the 135.. ugh. Should I get the 3000k or the 4000k? Need it for veg and flowrr

I would get the 3000k if your gonna flower with it. My 100's are 3000k that are in there with the others. Here's something you should check out though before you decide. I just don't know if you might be better off with 2 65's instead since you don't have a lot of height in there. You could always buy one now, and another when you're gonna flower. Tough decision.

Great video man thanks!! I’m flowering pretty soon(next 2 weeks) so I’m just gonna do the 100. I’m keeping the 135 and 65 in mind for future grows though..

3000k for sure.

You may get a little more stretch in veg with the added red compared to 4000k but it will flower beautifully

Thank you so much guys. About to put in the order! Before I do..
I have 3 lights in my grow box. The 32w main one, then 9w and 17w LED grow bulbs on the sides for supplementary light. If I returned the main light tonight, would the plant be okay for he next day and a half while the other one gets here? I would just have the 9w and 17w running.. Or should I wait to return the other one when the HLG gets here?

Ya I wish I would learned about the 100 before I ordered a Vipraspectra 300, that is still unopened and will stay that way, lol. I actually have 3 of the 100's. 1 is unopened, but it will be used for sure sometime. I love them so far, and the quality is there for sure.
