BRAVO ROSEMAN!

DWC rocks! Looks like your plant tilted a bit in the lid of the rubermaid container. Did you have to do anything special as it got larger to keep it from falling into the reservoir?

wire and masking tape work well. I see you got some duct tape going, nice!

Roseman this grow was from seeds is that correct?
How long would you predict the grow to be from clones in the set up you have here?
Midgrade,
The time period is up to you. You the Grower decides. In the past, I've done two sea of greens, for SPEED, or FAST Growing and Early Harvest. Then I did 2 or 3 weeks of GROW or VEG, then I did 8 weeks of BUD or BLOOM.
This time I did 12 weeks of VEG. and 8 and ahalf weeks of BLOOM.
Scroll up and read my post about fdd2blk's advise. Try to find time to read all the posts on this thread.

IF you are starting with Clones, you subtract about 7 to 10 days of VEG time compared to SEED Grows.

At about 5 weeks, i had 5 plants in one tank. I moved two plants to a 2nd tank. Of the thre remaining in the first tank, two turned out to be Males, Damned transsexuals had me fooled. ! LOL
But early on, they tilted and I allowed it to give them room. I only had 6 feet of height grow space and the lights take up 18 inches of that space. The lid of the tank withheld the weight fine. There are three feet of roots on those plants so they sort of held the plant up some too.
and how does anyone grow without duct tape and masking tape?
Thanks for the comments.
I had a DWC system, plus a BUBBLEPONICS System combined. Bubbleponics is using a submersivive pump, pumping bubbley water and nutes and air to the root base via a tube. Results are VERY FAST GROW!

My only comment is: You waited way too long to put into flower. I also waited too long and now my plant is 6 ft. tall and 4 ft. around. The time to flower is when the plant has started its 4th nodes, 4 branches, no matter how long. I could have flowered mine in two weeks, but I waited till 4-5 weeks and with a bubbler they were 18 inches tall and had about ten nodes.. Now instead of a few gigantic buds, I'll have about a hundred small ones, it's all good, I just wanted some gigantic buds for bragging rights. Next time, as soon as the 4th nodes appear, it's into the 12/12. BTW, in a 6 hole Bubbler, I got 4 males and 2 females, one giant one and one little scrawney one. My prize plants were male, go figure. I wanted to breed them but decided against it as last time it went crazy and I ended up with a million seeds.

The time to flower (unless you're growing from clones) is when the plant tells you to. Usually between week 6 and 8 of veg the plant will start alternating nodes and will show preflowers.

BTW, good growing roseman... looking forward to more pic's now that you've figured out the mechanics.

Be patient, bro, read every word in HARVESTING in GrowFAQ here. There's some tremedous knowledgee there.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT ABOUT TO BE ATTACKED BY SPIEDER MITES.
FLOWER FOR 8 PLUS WEEKS IF THAT IS INDICA.
LET THE STAMENS (HAIRS) ALL TURN COLOR, REDISH,BROWNISH, DARKER TAN THAN WHITE.
CONSIDER FLUSHING AT AT LEAST THREE DAYS B4 HARVEST.
STOP THE NUTES 3 OR 4 DAYS B4 HARVEST.
i'm too stoned to tpe !
I messed upg etting on, it's so nice to be stoned. especially when it;s your own grow.

These two plants remain. I took half off of them a week ago, the bigger buds and I left the ones that still had white stamins and the fluff buds that were not getting much light.
the one on the right stayed short and bushy and never stretched. The one on the left did stretch to over 4 feet tall, and I got some nice colas off of her.

I harvested this one Sunday. I took it all.

Those roots were a tangled mess that would have stretched out a lot longer, but they were tied or wrapped around the long air stone.

The Irrigation system shows the under water pump, with suction cups that fasten it to the bottom of the tank, and becaue the air stones are bubbling the water, the little pump actually pumps bubbles of air, water and nutes to each plant.

My 8 jars are the harvest from the top 75% I harvested two weeks ago. After two weeks, they weighed 190 grams. I still have the bottom of her (Liz) remaining.

I actually think that being able to see the roots is the best things about hydro. I've done 2 soil grows, both with probably unhealthy amounts of time sitting in front of those plants (and only like 2 at a time). Looking at leaves/stems and buds (and creating imaginary growth) is one hell of a pastime, but seeing the incredibly rapid root growth in comparison to leaves/stems(at least in my experience) is way more gratifying.

I guess really being able to see the whole system is an example of the whole being more than a sum of its parts.

P.s. Sweet plants and harvest Roseman! Just put mine into flowering, using 140 watts hps (2x70) cooltube, and the NEXT day major growth! Soil didn't grow like this :hump:
