Big green caterpillars

been seeing mold/grey stuff on my flowers. First time trying to grow. Growing outdoors in Oregon. It’s starting to get a little rainy and a little cold at night so I’ve been bringing it in or else putting it under the awning to keep it dry. Week or two ago I started seeing gray spots, today I grabbed one pulled it off inside giant green caterpillar inside. I also saw what I expected were eggs. So I threw the entire flower away. Starting to lose more and more of my yield each day. What to do?

The gray mold is bud rot and will spread to the rest of the plant so all visible affected areas should be removed asap. Hopefully someone's else can chime in about the Caterpillars. Not sure if neem oil would help or not.

Tomato / pepper worms they can take out a healthy tomato plant in one day
I remove mine and squish them

Ugly as they are they do not bite
Sorry about the bud loss

The bud rot is a bigger problem then the caterpillars. Time to harvest right now. Make sure you know how to dry properly. All bud rot must be removed and sterilise tools and gloves before moving on to healthy buds. Don't concern yourself about eggs. Eggs come from the butterfly not the caterpillar. Those eggs are probably caterpillar poop which you can likely smoke and get high..lol.. No jokes.
Focus on the bud rot please

Get some Bacillus thuringiensis. Caterpillars will be gone in a week.

Thank you! Makes sense. I don’t want to lose too much or have weak bud. But I guess a little less potent is better than rotten and zero flower!
