I like the 1000w de. I actually run them at 750 because I like the way everything functions.

They can be got on the cheap these days, Craigslist usually has tons of adds if you in a legal state

Gavitas are great lights, I just don't like the ballast up there with the bulb where it's a bitch for my setup if I have to swap a ballast mid run.

Do you know how the Gavita leds are? Or know anybody use has used them? I’ve heard Gavita is top of the line with hid, but never hear too much about people using the led from them

Well do you have cable? Gavitas are really well shielded and I would recommend them to someone wanting DE HPS that has cable. I have seem others have issues with the high frequency ballasts, theres a pretty recent thread on here now about it.

I like my sunsystem DE HPS ballasts and they are mounted remotely with a cable going to the hood (buy seperate). I have phantoms I like too. Avoid nanolux.
