psssssssst- I got a job, I'm not dead, although one's ordinarily a damn good path to the other. ;)

I'll be hovering from time to time, but I simply no longer have the number of hours in a day to continue doing wot I bin and run the op, which is of course ongoing.

My personal vote is to let FAQt go. Lotsa stuff in it but all very random, as that was the plan. Not terribly useful as a reference. You kinda had to be there. ;)

Thanks for the votes of confidence & support. :)

And no, I haven't started my own cannabis site, just so's ya know.

seeyaround. :)

Well, your surely going to be missed!!---and it's cool to hear you'll be around from time to time, Al:bigjoint::hump:

I think it would be awesome if someone had the time to go through the Al B FAQt thread and organize it.........so very much info!--->yet as Al said, 'you almost had to be there....' :it was a daily stopping place for so many, especially when they had questions................and most were asked and answered more than once.........

Now potroast is going to be extra busy...........:blsmoke:, along with all of the other willing, knowledgable hydro experienced growers out here........ The cool thing with Al was that if you were trying his method, there was a rigid line with how to do it and what worked best in that system........that must have took MANY years to perfect as he's done!!

Well, I am not here to kiss any asskiss-ass, just adding my 2 cents.

Hope all works great, and happy growin!!

I see, peeps should prolly let the legend die, but use the knowledge anyhow!I dont think i would want my shit stickied either, only cuz i dont really like people and well u know. Why not start a site, Doesnt even have to be m/j based, and websites are very lucrative as well!? Anyhow, thanks for the help. Now die out lol

FAQt was intended as a general Q&A thread and would be hard to distill into a useful reference. Anyone who thinks I'm a legend is a overestimating me more than a bit. I'll try to get on with dying out, tho. ;)

Hey Al, iv heard that you use a Sulfur burner in your grow rooms. iv been looking for information on them, but havent found much (at least pertaining to marijuana), and the powdery mildew problem im having is really annoying. i have a few questions that im hopeful you can answer if you have the time.

is it ok to use a SB during flower?
will it make the buds taste or smell odd?
is it an organic method of control?

thanks bro!

Yes, sulfur is organic. I use mine for 3-4 hours when I see some sign of PM. Once is enough, and usually wipes it out. You might have to repeat in a week. You can use it during flowering, but I don't use it during the last month.

Al runs his burner a short burst twice a day, which is wacky to me, they must have some wicked fungus down under. Personally, I don't want that nasty sulfur smell around all the time.

hey cool. thanks for the reply bro! i will definitely invest in one of those things then. does it help prevent bud rot and such as well? how about pests such as spider mites? also, why dont you run it the last month of flower? is it because there are residual tastes left on the buds? do you know if Al does his little "bursts" during the last month of flowering?
haha. sorry for all the questions. your the only source of info on this topic so far. thanks again man.

Yes, sulfur is a fungicide too, so it can help with other spores like botrytis. I don't know about helping with bugs, but I imagine that they don't like it. I don't use it during flower ripening because that sulfur vapor gets everywhere, and the buds are getting sticky, and the stuff smells like burning wooden matches. I've read about other growers who use it up until harvest, but they rinse their plants before harvest, which can also make the fungus grow during drying, ruining the bud while it's on the line.

It's best to get rid of fungus as soon as you find it, and a sulfur burner is the best way I've found.
