Got bored and decided to wrap my buckets.
When I was done with the buckets I had a piece left that wasnt enough to do much with. So my adhd took over and I wrapped things until it was gone. Here is the result.

I like shiny things.

Awesome job man, very clean work. What is the material called that you used to wrap everything?

I like! I used the same stuff to wrap all buckets and plumbing, whatever you can do to keep the chiller running less frequent is a plus in my eyes.
What it the stuff called bud? Looks like insulated something, just not sure what exactly lol

Can't say we didnt tell you so! ;)

hahaha oh i know....theres been a bunch of you guys who have all been preaching rdwc lol ....might just scrap the aero plans and run with rdwc for a crop or 2. Lucky enough my laziness might pay off, i only have the holes drilled at top of totes , so i can just use those for waterfalls.

decisions decisions lol

How did i miss this the first time? lol

@fragileassassin have you had any issues with the diy bulkheads? did you use a gasket with the drain fittings? This could be a problem solver for me lol
It took some trial and error when I first built them. Both the veg and flower system did have a few small leaks that had to be fixed, but once I figured out my system for it, they've been fine with no leaks or drips at all.
I'll grab some pics and quotes about it for you

Original post.
I cut the threads down with my miter saw. That makes it short enough that the nut on them makes a fairly tight seal. Cement the hole, push threads through hole. Cement around the bottom of the threads on the inside of the bucket. Fill ring with silicone, tighten ring with slip joints, silicone around the ring for final seal.
