Without wishing to get into an argument with you.........

Yes, water tanks get cheaper per litre of storage as you go up in size, but you also have to have the space, factor-in delivery, site preparation & labour to do it all.

If space is of concern (as it is with many urban growers), then IBC's have a small footprint & come-in at the same $/L cost as a 50000L tank.

We already have a 22500L tank that has done us fine up until now. BUT, when we build our new home (on a property that was wiped-out on Black Saturday), we'll be putting-in another two of them. PLUS, we've got a bore that's good for another 5000L/day.

I don't want us to run-out of water under any circumstances.

wtf happen only use a spray bottle now just water

ya have to carefully help it up n put a bit of coco on the week side

the tap root is still to young for watering just spray n wait

to egar beaver but its easy to do

if ya want to water it
take the cap off the spray bottle and water arround the outside it soaks into the centre, or better still empty coke bottle

Also I had no idea what a hips light is and assumed you meant hid as that’s what category of light they are. Also just looking at those bulbs they look like MH or MV, not hps.

The amount of hoses ive had to replace cause of them
:cuss:
The tanks lifted of the ground an all the plumping conections to the tap on the bottom is what the mutts were chewing off..
I use the bucket idea cos from the back door if I see the bucket isn't on the tap I know I've forgotten to tuyrn the tap off lol
Its saved me at least 4 times so far this yr

I just smashed a few hotties of the sugar mill the indica leaning plants and it’s a very heavy stoned. The ib and cheese are a good day time smoke, this stuffs more couch lock bed time stuff but not in an annoying head fuck way. I’ll give the sativa pheno a blaze tomorrow. The sba x gg is super super dense and is a bit behind in the drying department but I don’t mind it looks amazing. I’ll post some bud shots up before I put it to cure, it still needs about 4-7 days to dry.
View attachment 4448642 Fucker fell over when I watered it lol should have stuck to my spray bottle. You reckon she will survive
Prop it up with a rubber twist tie and bend the top into a circle to hold it

If you want cheap rainwater storage, then IBC's are the way to go. You can often pick them up for $50-$100 apiece. Much cheaper than buying a proper water tank. Even if they've had something unpleasant in them, they can be cleaned & rinsed-out a few times to get rid of the crap. I've got a mate that works for a food manufacturer that buys their liquid ingredients in bulk, so I get them for nothing  & they're food grade, so no problems at all.

They're stackable to reduce the footprint if you're short on space & can be daisy-chained with a few plumbing fittings.

The black ones are best (if you can find them - they'll be more expensive), but if all you can get are the white ones, you can get covers to protect them from UV like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Cover-Sun-protective-hood-for-rain-water-tank-1000-liters-IBC-container-foil-new/143342340989?hash=item215fde8b7d:g:yUsAAOSw~hpdP-HZ&frcectupt=true

The only problem for us all right now down South is having the actual rainfall to fill them....>:(
Yep got a white one in a cage

its not a grow lamp as weve established so

HPS was never intended as a grow light. Growers just used them. At 70w it sounds like cheap warehouse lighting with low ceilings, perhaps security lighting,
Doesnt look like a HPS lamp btw. If its stamped on the lamp itself then its a weird thing.

There’s no such thing as a hips light even if it is stencilled on the bulb. The stencil is probably a production identifier not what type of bulb it is.

I did say they looked like mh/mv lamps.

Agree on the hps stuff too. Definitely designed as high bay lights and the agricultural sector just happened to use them and improve the bulbs to match their needs.
