How can I mask the smell while harvesting?

OK so here is the deal, I had a couple of seeds that I planted back in May and they are almost ready to be harvested. I have been smoking for the past 15 years but this is my first grow. They were some random seeds that I found and I grew them outside. I used organic soil and some 15-30-15 fertz once they started to flower.

The problem I am going to have is that I snipped a tiny bud to check the trichs and it stunk up the whole house. Literally the bud was the size of my thumbnail. The plants are 2 different strains (Don't Know) one is small, dense buds and super stinky and sticky. The other has popcorn buds, not so sticky or stinky. I wanted to dry and then cure in my walk-in closet, but I can't let other people in the house know about it. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dubkid

No lie this one plant which is maybe 16 inches tall can be smelled from 30 feet
away easy. Any Ideas?

that looks like a lowryder 2 plant. No real way of getting around masking the smell. Glade dont work...Open windows dont even work. Funny shit. my wife came home the other day and said the house smelled like a skunk...I had the same prob. Growing is not the prob, drying is.. I had 1 12" lowryder plant. That shit stunk from the basement to the 2nd flr. LOL

thats what i think i want/need to do, i think im going to use a doghouse and just make sure no bugs can get in it evwen tho its old and wooden, you guys thin k that might work?

I suggest maybe drying on the roof if you can. What I did was just keep a HUGE spray bottle of Glade Cinnamon/Apple spray. The stuff is VERY VERY strong and it kinda hurts your lungs but it will mask it up quite nicely.

go to local hydro and pick up Ona gel. it works well. We are about to harvest and it has rid our smell thus far

Have you considered building a simple carbon filtered drying box? There are plans on this site.
