what light is better

i was looking at some led grow lights. the two i am tying to decide on are

Spider farmer SF-1000 Led Grow Light Full Spectrum Samsung LM301B diodes Dimmable MeanWell Driver
Power consumption (watts): 100

Mars TS 1000 Quantum Board Led Grow Light - Mars Hydro
Power consumption (watts): 150

the cost of both lights are around the same but the mars is an extra 50 watts making me think that will be better for watts per price but the Spider farmer look decent

If it were me and choosing between the two I’d go spider over mars any day. But I prefer cmh and homemade lights with either qb’s or strips.

The sf1000 is non dimmable I believe...
sf2000 and up ARE dimmable, but the driver must be removed from the heatsinks first.

what has the better spectrum or are they both the same because if they are the same ill go with the extra watts

if no bad reports about the mars burning out quickly ect

I wanna know this too, im probs getting 2 SF1000 for my 3x1.5 instead of 1 ts1000. Spider farmer has 2.7 umol. Up to 2.3g a watt or mars ts1000 2.3 umol. Up to 2g a watt. I will sacrifice watts for efficiency

so i have decided on the spider farm light but on the bigger model
https://www.spider-farmer.com/products/sf-2000-led-grow-light its a 200watt light

i have a few questions before i go spend my money and if its even worth buying over what i currently have

i currently use a VIPARSPECTRA 600W it is 270watts from the wall

why is the spider farm light better and will i see much difference in yield over the light i am already running being that it is 70watts less

i only grow in a 2x2.5ft space. the vipar does a ok job but the penetration is bad and the plants stretch allot plus the spread is not good enough for 2.5ft. i average 5 oz from that space

id also like to know about heat output between the two lights

the vipar puts outs a good amount and has fans in it

the spider farm does not have fans so i imagine the vipar runs hotter ??

if im not going to see more then 20% increase in my yields then ill stick with the vipar

give me your thoughts

The drivers will get hot on the SF but not too bad. Difference really is the draw and you'll have white light instead of blurple. As yield difference, there will be a different but not by much.

For that price you should check out the Mars-Hydro TSW-2000. Higher watt draw over 300watts at the wall and much cheaper.

well i liked the idea of saving 70watts with the spider farm but only if the efficiency makes up for it and possibly yield more also being a rectangular grow space i think the spider farm will have better spread .
i was just watching a video on it but im sure they are just payed to make the light sound good. im poor so i need credible info before spending money lol
when you are expecting to be getting an upgrade but you just get kicked in the balls in stead kind of sucks

Both lights will perform better then the Vipar. I was just throwing that option out there for you. I personally grow under Mars lights and I'm killing it.
