Light Upgrade From King LED to....?

Howdy folks. To all you smart ass post counting whores, I COULD use the search function but didn't so fuck off. For everyone else, thanks for reading and your constructive feedback. I am currently running a 600w king LED in my 2 by 4 tent. I have completed 4 grows with mixed results. All the stuf smoked like some fire but the but structure varied. My first grow I had an issue I diagnosed as WAY too much watering and led to a rampant population of fungus knats. The "future" came out super airy and the dogwalker had some nice full fire nugs. These were flowered in 5 gallon pots. Second grow I ran one gelato plant and flowered in a 3 gallon pot. The final product was some fucking fire with nug density similar to the dogwalker in the first grow, by no means dispensary density but I was happy. Third grow was 2 gelato clones in 5 gallon pots. Don't think I let it veg long enough for pot size; the buds came out insanely airy. Now I am running 4 gelato clones and plan on flowering in 3 gallon pots to see what happens.

I am starting to see that my budget light choice may be a contributing factor to my bud structure issue and am considering an upgrade. I have searched but wanted to see what you have used and can recommend as a higher quality and stronger upgrade (or just a good brand to consider) OR affordable supplemental lighting options to enhance my current setup. I would prefer to keep using LEDs but am open to suggestions. I want to produce some nice dense impressive buds.

These are two I am considering:

Cheers.

That looks fucking nice. I just creamed my plants looking at it. Beautiful. I really don't know a thing about brands related to this hobby. Mars is a reputable one I take it? How are your yields with the 2000? Is the 2000 worth the extra 120 ish bucks over 2 600's? You plants look beyond happy lol.

Are these good from veg to harvest?

So this is def a price jump but the blackdog pytho max 2 series are incredible. I'm using the 600 in a 4x4 tent and a cfl 105 watt standing horizontally in the middle and feel i could probably use this modest set up in a larger tent with no problems, but the blackdog phyto max pernetrates the canopy extremely well and has done a great job developing lower bud sites(way better than i had expected) I recently started using led to see what theyre like as a primary light source(have used inexpensive leds as supplemental lighting but never as the main light) and this light has my considering replacing a couple more de hps 1000 watt with blackdog 600 watt. I'm not going to lie, and no i dont work for blackdog lol, but dollar for dollar its been one of the best investments for my productivity/quality/operating expense. I probably shouldnt mention this but they were SUPER helpful and worked with my budget and found one that had a ding or something but had been fully serviced and still carried the 5 year or whatever warranty but was a couple hundred less expensive. they shipped it and i had it up and running in 4 days from the day i ordered it. Lol if it isnt clear: i support their product(even at the price), def look into them and take to heart the fact that the lesser wattage blackdogs do actually compare as well to the lights they compare them too. when i first was reading about them i wass like "theres no way a B.D. phyto max 2 600 watt compares to a double ended 1000 watt hps, but i think it does and then some. only pulled 2 harvests from it so im certainly no expert. just have had a good first two runs with it.

Definitely out of my price range but thanks. Definitely can't go over 300, I am leaning toward 2 mars 600 right now unless someone can convince me otherwie. Seems reputable and affordable. I don't want to skimp and have to redo this whole thing a few grows down the line. i could always add a third. Thoughts on two of the mars hydro 600W in the 2*4. I doubt ill be running more than 4, maybe 6, plants at a time. Thanks.

I just finished doing my LED research and I opted to go with Timber 3vl. You’re wasting your time with most Amazon LEDs. Here’s the model I would use for a 2x4. I’m replacing a 1000 watt HID with three of them. @RainDan is an excellent resource and can answer anything you throw his way.

The draw on 2 TS-600s would only be about 200w total. The draw on the TSL-2000 is around 300-315ish. Some people trash Mars-Hydro, while others like me use them in multiple areas. I get great results with them. I also start using them once I transplant to a 3 gallon fabric pot. Prior to that I have them under smaller lights.

gotcha. Im actually in the same boat for another one of my smaller tents, I have a 1000 watt king led and a 1500 watt king led in a 32 by 32" tent. would like something in a similar price range that can penetrate the canopy better, and that i dont have to go gross wattage overkill to get results. do you have the same issue? obviously the actual watage is less than the watts actually being used, but 2500 in a 32Square in. tent seems stupid. I def like how mars look but have no experience with them, so this thread is perfect for me to piggy back. lolol.

In a 32x32, if you wanted a Mars-Hydro light, I'd honestly get the TSW-2000 instead of the TSL-2000.

They are still in production and I’m anxiously awaiting them. Timber gets great reviews....I couldn’t find a bad review.

I have decided on going wit 2 600 and throwing the king led in the middle to supplement. On a bit of a budget atm but the 2000 does look dope. Thnaks for the input everyone.

NOT being a dick or turning this into HID vs LED, but why not try a 315w Ceramic Metal Halide or a 400w HPS in that tent? Much cheaper, and either would be good on their own or supplementing your existing LEDs. The 315CMH has little heat you should at least check one out in a growshop
