I am guessing you mean this one:

There is still going to be old white guys in it, but they are not the the same as the Republicans.

And Biden has gotten it right more often and tried to do better for everyone in our country. Is he still an old white guy and going to have racist shit that came out of his mouth and had things he thought was a good idea at the time be shown over time to not have been, of course. He is human and didn't have the same level of information at all times that we do now.
What information deficit are you referring to, he’s been in politics forever and a day.
What do you make of this?

Biden
“ Well, they have to deal with the — look, there’s institutional segregation in this country. And from the time I got involved, I started dealing with that. Redlining, banks, making sure we are in a position where — look, you talk about education. I propose that what we take the very poor schools, the Title I schools, triple the amount of money we spend from $15 to $45 billion a year. Give every single teacher a raise to the $60,000 level.

Number two, make sure that we bring in to help the teachers deal with the problems that come from home. The problems that come from home. We have one school psychologist for every 1,500 kids in America today. It’s crazy. The teachers are — I’m married to a teacher, my deceased wife is a teacher. They have every problem coming to them. Make sure that every single child does, does in fact, have 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds go to school. Not day care, school.

We bring social workers into homes of parents to help them deal with how to raise their children. It’s not that they don’t want to help, they don’t want — they don’t know quite what to do. Play the radio, make sure the television — excuse me, make sure you have the record player on at night, the phone — make sure that kids hear words. A kid coming from a very poor school — a very poor background — will hear 4 million words fewer spoken by the time they get there.”

His information deficit is that he will always look at the world through the lens of being a white guy. He is never going to understand what it is like to have people lock their doors as he walks past their car, he won't know that shitty feeling of being looked at like he is at best wasting their time when he goes into a store, he is not going to have the cops pull him over in front of his house and find any reason they can to slap cuffs on him and put him in the back of the cop car to embarrass them in their own neighborhood while all his white neighbors look from their windows without helping.

There are some things you can learn about but not actually understand. His heart is in the right place, and he will nominate great people who understand all the different communities needs, but it doesn't mean he possesses every bit of knowledge needed, because nobody does.

And I would suggest understanding his stutter for real, you notice the '-look', there is evidence that this is him stopping himself mid thought because he is about to stutter. What he (and other people who stutter) do is they stop before they struggle with the word and use a new word/sentence that is not going to trigger it. So before judging these edited parts as 'gaffs', it might be worth thinking about how it might be something that is hard to understand unless you have experience dealing with it. Watch the entire speeches if you find something particularly bad it looks like he said and decide for yourself instead of someone pointing it out.

Do you think that matters to people affected by his crime bill?
For the beaten and raped women, for the children that were victims of pedophiles, to the people that were happy to see machine guns getting banned, it should.

For the people who refuse to acknowledge that the parts that were added by the Republicans in 1994 (after they won the House and Senate back from the Democrats), like the 3 strikes bullshit, nope.

Do you notice you only blame Republicans for bad bills passed and signed by Democrats? It's never a Democrats fault, ever

For a progressive you really are all about tearing down the Democratic party and elevating the Republicans.
I just said Donald Trump is the worst president this country has ever produced

You are a partisan hack who believes the Democratic party can do no wrong

Says who? I am not unrealistic to humanities failings. I don't think anything or anyone is perfect.

"they are still learning" is not defending him?

I'd imagine you would rightly call it racist if Trump said the same thing and some conservative defended him in that way as well
Edited out the rest? Was that part about Biden, or old white guys in general?

Edit: Vote Bernie man, sell your guy as hard as you can, but having to create hate for other people on the same team who are trying out for the same job is just doing Trump's job for him. It's easy to cherry pick anything to make shit look bad.

"He [Biden] is an old white guy, they [white guy's] will say some racist shit from time to time"

You are equating Biden to 'white guys' and 'white guys' to "saying racist shit"

Regardless of the full context provided, it's kind of irrelevant which white racist old guys you're defending, whether it be Biden or John 'racist' Smith

So you need me to apologize for slightly defending an entire group of people? I think I will pass on that one.

Your boiled down position seems to be the following: Biden is white so he’s going to say dumb shit but it’s not his fault cos he hasn’t had the disadvantages of others.

I disagree with me saying the part about ' but it's not his fault', if you remove that part I would say that is a way oversimplified but not inaccurate way to describe what I am saying. I would push back on the disadvantages part a bit, because that ignores the good parts that make up our lives, but I know that gets in the weeds.

Thanks, why do you think it is his fault?
