Brown spots and yellowing. 4 weeks old

Hi guys, hoping you could help. I am growing in soil, 4 weeks old under led lights. I’m using fox farm soil and nuts. I started to feed in about week 3 but only 1/4 the dose they recommended because I saw a little brown spots and yellowing thinking it was a def. can someone please help. I’m a newbie, first grow.

I use fox farm nutes but not their soil. If that's the ocean forest you were probably already toxic and added to that when you fed bottle nutes. Which FF nutrient did you use? Are you using the trio (grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom)?

The one plant looked over watered. When you over water some leafs will start to yellow. When using foxfarm ocean forest just feed water for the first month cause the soil is already conditioned and rich. Let your soil dry a little roots have to breath not be drowned. Get you some microriza sprinkle it on top of the soil before you water. Microbes thrive in the rite environment and it could replenish nutrients for the plant if feed with the rite stuff. If you find any of my post you can read and see what I use. First time is a charm but it will end well keep growing sir.

I am using the dirty dozen but mainly it’s been the grow big and big bloom. Do you think I should just go with a flush of just water until I see the plants needing nutrients. I just figured at 4 weeks I should start a low mix but maybe they weren’t ready. Shall I cut those leaves off?

Which FF soil are you using? also.. i started out my first grow using FF happy frog soil and grow big/tiger bloom... Best thing i did was switch nutes to jacks 321. With the FF nutes it seemed really easy to over/under nute for some reason.. Just something to think about. BTW.. how did the plants look before you added nutes? if you are using happy frog or especially ocean forrest you shouldn't need any nutes for at least a month, and ocean forrest is really strong to start with. just my .02

P.S. i wouldn't cut the leaves off unless they are dried out and just come right off.. but that's me..

Do not feed any grow big until you see slight yellowing from nitrogen deficiency. That'll let you know when all of the nitrogen in the soil has been depleted. You are good to go with the big bloom from the get go to the end but I personally use half strength and feed once a week. There's really no way to reverse a burned leaf. I had to wait until the internodal growth got big enough to support itself and then I defoliated all the burned leaves. It has bounced back tremendously and looks better than ever but I wish I hadn't burned it. Experience is gonna make sure I don't do it twice though

Looks like your overwatering which is causing the drooping leaves and your spots. You are drowning your ladies.

Sadly I can tell u it’s def not over watering. I don’t water until it’s completely dry. I get the droopy but yellow and brown spots I think see to be an indicator. I’m gonna try just water for a bit until they don’t respond well and turn yellow.

And therein lies your problem. You are letting your plants get too dry and then flooding them and they are going into shock.
Dont let them get bone dry, find a happy medium.

Awesome. Didn’t think of that. Every time I did water they would droop then pop up a day later. So that is what can cause yellow and brown spots on leaves?

A lot of things can cause spotting on leaves but I think this is a good place to start, specially in smaller plants

Update- I went back to water Tuesday on with no food no anything and 5.8-6.4 ph and I’m still getting more yellowing and some brown spots. Is it time to feed going forward, am I short on cal-mag. I just watered today which they droop right after I do and then tomorrow I know after their sleep cycle they will perk. Do I need to transfer to bigger pots. Please help!!! Just started week 5 from seed. I do 18-6 lights keep 72-75 degrees 20-25% humidity.

Your pH range should be 6.3-6.8 ideally you want your pH to be at 6.5

Plants should be bigger at this point . Not sure what size pots you have them in , but I would get them in larger pots asap . To much water and not enough soil .

What this guy said.
You are probably getting root bound. You need to transplant those into bigger pots ASAP.
