The Country Fried 2x2

Here it is, The Country Fried Two by Two Grow Journal! Love me or hate me I’m here to stay.
Four square feet floor space, This bad boy is a 2x2x4’ or 24x24x48” for you inch guys.
For light I’ve got a Galaxy Hydro 300w, (130 watts) for pots there is two (3)gallon black plastic pots. The pots stand 10” Tall, I have eye hooks placed on all sides at 20” for use of a SCROG net.
Il be using this as my header for basic explanation of my set up, and posting a reply below at the beginning of each grow to give specifics on Strains, Soil medium, Fertilizers, Grow methods, Grow Plans, and Any Extras etc...

Howdy All, First Grow I’ll be documenting here. Im starting at the beginning of flower instead of from seed stage. Without further blab here we go.
When I will be updating:
-Every Watering/Feeding
-At every major growth milestone
-At any sight of a catastrophic event

BAGSEEDS (1) RuntZ (1) Gorilla Glue

Grow Medium: 50% Mushroom Compost 25% Pine Forest Compost 25% Organic No Additive MG Potting Mix + 2 quarts perlite

Nutrients: Fox Farms base line (Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom)

28 Days Veg Time, Both plants topped once, potted in 3 gallon pots.

Current: Flower Day 1

- 6 3/4” Tall from soil to leaf tips
- 4 nodes avg 3/4” apart
- Slight droop, Hypothesis- Stress from 24 hour dark period pre light schedule switch

- 5” Tall from soil to leaf tips
- 4 nodes avg 1/2” apart

Pictures are looking atrocious under my flowering light, Next update il use a notebook to creat a short shadow while I take photos.

Thanks, I drain the run off about half hour to hour after watering. Theres almost always a low amount of water that secretes into the drainage area after that. I can’t realistically pull them out to drain them several times. They drink about one and a half solo cups every 3-5 days, as of right now anyways.

Just a couple pictures. No stats today. These (Hopefully) girls are stacking nicely now. Definitely seeing the difference between the sativa and indicaThey're starting to show some development. I’ll know the gender in the next few days, its like a baby reveal! Hahaha Im too stoned, aight aight heres the pictures.

I got a turkey bag in a box via mail service of The Runtz, ive heard of like white and pink Runtz, mine was just the regular. Beautiful whitish green buds with some purple in it. Kind of circular triangle bud structure with a one of a kind smell. It doesn’t smell like another known smell of like food or candy or nothin it smells like that official kinda pungent rotten candy fruit type Runtz. Only real Runtz smokers know what I mean, im sure you’re pickin up what im layin down.
Anyway I found like 30 beans. I’ve got extras if I wasnt a paranoid fuck, I would share.

Thanks man! My pots are 10” Tall, and I have hooks for a net to install at 20”, so I will probably let the plants get about 1 foot tall and then stop them from gaining so much ground using the net. 20/48 inches. It should give ample room.

Heres some pictures! Its harder for me to get a good picture of the Runtz plant because its wider & lankier. Im thrilled with the way things are going. Hopefully these (girls) *Fingers Crossed* will begin developing pistils this week.

QUESTION TO THE PUBLIC: Should I start watering all the way to the pots edges now that these plants are getting larger? Thanks!

The girls seem to be looking good! Nice job! A small tip, when you post up pics try to have white light on. The blurple light kinda hides the true color of your plants and usually thats where you can find most of the first warning signals you plant will give.The best way ive found to water is a to concentrate more towards the outer edges. If you constantly maintain moisture in the middle you are short changing the growth of the rootball. The purpose of watering towards the edge will coax your plant roots to extend out from the rootball to find water. Which in turn will help create a better root ball for growth. This is my opinion based on my experience, everyone has "their way" of watering. I hope you can use the info. CHEERS!

Thanks man! The watering advice is fucking gold. Im open to most things, but it makes complete sense to me, definitely will be adjusting my technique. As for the Blurple, Sorry haha I know you guys hate it. Truth is unless I wake up 6:30 am and get a photo moments before the light turns on. Im so sketchy about opening the box when the lights are off because all the horror stories of hermies. Haha. Will it make a shit if I turn the light off for a second in the middle of the day cycle? I havent dared.. hermies horror stories. Anyway. Cheers dude, The feedback keeps me going.

-Update Update-
The RuntZ plant is a male
The Glue is throwing pistils from the new growth.

The question stands..To go for the Gorilla Food F1 or to toss the male immediately?
The bud is for me to smoke on, No worries of complainers or of people taking my precious seeds.

Also for those of you with more experience than I, a question or two I do have.

Q1. If I leave both plants together full term will there be much more seeds than if I reintroduced the male weeks later?

Q2. Does the seed need the entire flowering time to develop or will they be mature after a certain period of time?

If you are trying to produce seeds might as well leave them together. The male plants will form pollen pods which wont open till they are ready.

Usually you keep together the entire flowering time to make sure all the pollen is released and floating around your tent

If you remove the male there is a possibility that you might miss the pods opening and waste the pollen. If you want smokable bud you should remove him asap. CHEERS!
